Welcome to the Wayne County Community College District University Center!
At the University Center, you will find an exceptional environment and a strong
learning community supported by our senior institution partners. Our university and
senior college partners including Ferris State University, Michigan State University,
University of Michigan-Flint, University of Detroit/Mercy and Walsh College provide
opportunities to complete degrees and access graduate level courses without having
to leave the region. In addition, Western Michigan University is the latest addition to
our university partnership providing opportunities for learning beyond the associate
degrees available through the District.
Along with WCCCD courses offered at University Center, we are also home to the
Harper Woods Public School’s dual enrollment program and a growing number of dualenrollment/concurrent
enrollment initiatives with secondary schools within the region.
The University Center is a unique facility with the capacity to host conferences,
workshops, seminars and meetings in the large lecture theatre, spacious classrooms
and atrium exhibit space. We invite you to take advantage of the many opportunities
for continuing education courses and community events held throughout the year.
