box for tuition and lunch payments located at the front
desk. No waiting required!
IMPORTANT REMINDER: PLEASE PLACE YOUR STU-
DENTS NAME IN THE MEMO AREA OF ALL CHECKS.
Tuition is due by the first of the month and becomes late
on the 10th of the month. Late payments are assessed a
monthly charge of 1.5% of any outstanding balance plus
a $25 late fee each month.

As we come off the busiest shopping
season for most folks and
retailers, I’m excited to announce
that this spring we will begin construction
on our very own school
store. Called “The Shield,” it will
be located just to the north of the
short game golf practice facility;
its entrance will face the west parking
lot with convenient parking for
shoppers. An artist’s rendering is
shown below. If everything goes as
planned, we hope to open our store
by August 1, 2013.
The plan for the store provides
for over 1,000 square feet of retail
floor space and a dressing room,
with storage in the back of the building
at over 400 square
feet (total construction
footprint is 1,630 square
feet). The building will be
constructed of split-face
block. It will look as if
it has always been part
of the campus. Additionally,
we will add 412
square feet of storage on
the northwest corner of
the Student Center.
While inventory will be
chosen by the store manager,
we expect to sell our school
uniforms, PE uniforms, spirit wear,
and logoed merchandise such as
backpacks, key chains, lanyards,
pennants, water bottles, laptop
covers, pens and pencils, erasers,
bumper stickers, magnets,
book markers, planners, bracelets,
lapel pins, sport bags, rally
sticks, beanies, etc. Those possibilities
are endless as we continue
to get our brand out into the valley
and beyond. Anyone interested in
applying for the store manager job
should contact Gary Daning (DaningG@flhsemail.org)
no later than
January 15, 2013. We will also be
looking for volunteers and those
with service hour requirements for
tuition assistance to help work in
the store.
Our long standing contract with
Campus Club expires this spring.
I deeply appreciate the great relationship
we have enjoyed with Nina
and her team there and also appreciate
Campus Club’s willingness
to help as we move through this
transition. Our contract with Dennis
Uniforms does not expire until
2014; we will make a decision later
this spring on how we proceed with
Dennis. A special thanks to the
Lujan family who has capably and
diligently operated the Faith Family
store the past few years providing
much appreciated Faith Lutheran
Crusader items for us all.
We look forward to providing a
great Crusader shopping experience
for our families, faculty/staff,
alumni, and constituents for many
years to come. Happy shopping!
2013/2014 REGISTRATION: 2013/2014 New and returning
student registration is now in progress! Registration is
available online this year at Faithlutheranlv.org by clicking
on the “Apply or Re-enroll online now” button. Registration
and payment must be received by January 31st for
all returning students to be guaranteed placement.
Please be sure to choose your preferred billing option
(one, two or 10 months) for the 2013/2014 school
year on the registration documents. The 12-month billing
option will no longer be available after the current
school year.
2013/2014 TUITION ASSISTANCE: Application for
2013/2014 Tuition Assistance will be available online
beginning January 1, 2013. Applications must be submitted
by April 1, 2013 to be included in the initial
distribution. Applications received after April 1st are subject
to funds available.
