Investing in <strong>New</strong> <strong>Hampshire</strong> now, to conserve<br />

wildlife <strong>and</strong> natural areas for future generations.<br />

Did you know that <strong>the</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Hampshire</strong> <strong>Fish</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Game</strong> <strong>Department</strong> has a new nonprofit<br />

partner? The Wildlife Heritage Foundation of <strong>New</strong> <strong>Hampshire</strong> was created to enhance,<br />

through private financial support, <strong>the</strong> critical conservation <strong>and</strong> education programs of <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Department</strong>. The Foundation raises money <strong>and</strong> works h<strong>and</strong>-in-h<strong>and</strong> with wildlife professionals<br />

<strong>and</strong> conservation educators to fund <strong>the</strong> conservation of wildlife <strong>and</strong> natural places that are<br />

important to family traditions like fishing, hunting, hiking <strong>and</strong> watching wildlife.<br />

Casting is one of many<br />

activities offered at Discover<br />

Wild <strong>New</strong> <strong>Hampshire</strong> Day.<br />

Making an Impact<br />

The positive impact of <strong>the</strong> Foundation<br />

is already being felt. It supports <strong>Fish</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>Game</strong>’s production of Wild Times for Kids, a<br />

newsletter that brings conservation messages<br />

about fish <strong>and</strong> wildlife into <strong>the</strong> state’s classrooms.<br />

The Foundation also sponsors <strong>Fish</strong><br />

activities, live animals <strong>and</strong> big fish, <strong>the</strong> day<br />

is a fun way for families to learn about ways<br />

to enjoy our wild state.<br />

As <strong>the</strong> major sponsor of ano<strong>the</strong>r <strong>Fish</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Game</strong> event, <strong>the</strong> Hunting <strong>and</strong> <strong>Fish</strong>ing Day<br />

Expo & N.H. Tour, <strong>the</strong> Foundation supports this statewide fall celebration of <strong>New</strong> <strong>Hampshire</strong>’s<br />

outdoor traditions. More than a thous<strong>and</strong> people turned out for <strong>the</strong> 2009 Expo,<br />

which highlighted sporting organizations <strong>and</strong> hunting <strong>and</strong> fishing products. Companion<br />

events took place around <strong>the</strong> state <strong>and</strong> at<br />

Center. This year’s Expo <strong>and</strong> N.H. Tour<br />

is set for September 25, <strong>2010</strong>, so get in on<br />
