ORISSA<br />
Brahmapur : Branch organized free health<br />
care programme at Dharakote of Ganjam District<br />
which is about 50 k.m. away from the city on<br />
February 12th and 13th, 2011. The Ayurvedic Doctor,<br />
Dr. Hrusikesh Padhy, a member of the branch,<br />
organized the camp in the premises of Anatha<br />
Ashram of Dharakote. About 200 patients were<br />
examined and provided with the medicines.<br />
Puri : Branch organised one blood donation<br />
camp on 26th January 2011. 35 units of blood was<br />
collected by the District Red Cross. 20 members<br />
of BVP donated blood. After the Republic Day<br />
Parade the Minister of the State, District Collector,<br />
District Chief medical officer visited the camp and<br />
praised the attempt of the members of BVP.<br />
DELHI EAST<br />
The members of BVP with the active support<br />
of family Trust of Sh. S.S. Jain inaugurated 'Seth<br />
Tarif Sigh Jain Diagnostic Centre' at its Tahirpur,<br />
Dilshad Garden Viklang Sahayata Kendra. The<br />
National Working President Shri I.D. Ojha graced<br />
the occasion as a chief speaker. The diagnostic<br />
centre will provide Path Lab facilities, Ultra Sound<br />
and X-ray facilities at very nominal charges. The<br />
major donor, trustees and members attended the<br />
function.<br />
JAMMU & KASHMIR<br />
Jammu East : conducted free medical checkup<br />
camp in collaboration with Indian Red Cross<br />
Society in front of Red Cross Complex, Kachi<br />
Chowni, Jammu. Three checks for different<br />
diseases in common masses i.e. Diabetes<br />
Detection, blood grouping & blood pressure were<br />
performed. 126 persons were benefitted. About 35<br />
persons were tested+ve for Diabetes. The branch<br />
intends to conduct at least 05 more such medical<br />
camps in slum areas duly identified for this purpose.<br />
GUJARAT NORTH<br />
Patan : Branch organised complete body<br />
check-up camp, on concessional rates for only Rs.<br />
500/- on 13.03.2011 in coordination with thiro care<br />
lab patan. 165 members took the benefit. Branch<br />
President J.V. Patel, Secretary Kamal Chandana,<br />
and Project Coordinator Dr. Shaileshbhai Sompura,<br />
worked hard for the success of the camp.<br />
Paldi Amdavad : Branch organised Prathmik<br />
Saravar Kendra medical camp at Khatraj Circle,<br />
Mahemdabad. About 3600 padayatris took benefit<br />
of medicine & Dressing treatment during three days<br />
day and night without break. In this Holy festival<br />
about 7 to 8 Lakh devotees go to Dakor for Shri<br />
Ranchhodas Darshan. They had observed this<br />
medical camp while passing on road. So Seva &<br />
Publicity of BVP was also performed.<br />
GUJARAT MADHYA<br />
Glucoma Eye care camp was organised by<br />
Prant at Ratilal Patel Hall, Kankaria, Ahmedabad<br />
on 11.03.2011 by Health and Eye care Incharge<br />
Dr. Chaitanya A. Patel. More than 150 persons were<br />
benefitted.<br />
PUNJAB EAST<br />
Malerkotla : Branch organized free<br />
Homeopathic medical check-up camp at village<br />
Manak Majra. Dr. Paramjit Singh DHO was the Chief<br />
Guest and Smt. Paramjeet Kaur Sarpanch gram<br />
panchayat village manak majra presided over the<br />
function Dr. Rehman Asad H.M.O. & Dr. Amandeep<br />
Singh H.M.O. checked 310 patients and distributed<br />
the medicines to the patients.<br />
