The Summer Dance, held May 30, 2009, saw many expats gather at the Wildfire Restaurant, inside the
Intercontinental Hotel. We dined both inside and out, with spectacular views of the new Olympic Marina
and the lights of the Qingdao skyline. Delicious food around several stations, drinks and the live band
brought many to the dance floor. It felt like we were transported off to a seaside summer resort on the
Mediterranean.
Both the Qingdao Expat Group and the Qingdao Expat Charity give a Special Thank You to …
The Intercontinental Hotel for hosting, providing door prizes and donating a Room Night for the Silent
Auction.
The Wildfire Restaurant and its summery venue, beautiful views and delicious food.
Steven Gao’s (Lennon Bar) band Plug and Play for entertaining us.
Kiley Ariail for donating a Gogovivi bag for the Silent Auction.
We all enjoyed this evening together with all proceeds being donated to the Qingdao Expat Charity.
