Your favourite
destination that we
stop? & Why?
I would choose the Spirit of the Outback because of the
convenience of having all your meals included, it has
a great social atmosphere with many fellow travellers
starting their holiday together, and it has a lovely
“experience” feeling to it.
I had a lovely man book his holiday of a lifetime that was
going out to Longreach then up to Cairns who was blind
and travels with his guide dog. He was very appreciative
of me taking the time to ensure that he could include
everything he had always wanted to do without any
hassle and explained that he had been to travel agents
before that didn’t want much to do with him because of
the extra work his booking would require.
My favourite destination to get off the train is
Proserpine/Airlie Beach because that means I’m going
on holidays where I will be lying on a beach relaxing
on one of the islands, eating the local cuisine and
enjoying a cool drink.
What’s your favourite
Train? Why?
What is your most
memorable customer
experience?
Can’t choose between the Sunlander and the Spirit
of Outback – both have ever changing, but very
different scenery
Melbourne Cup Day last year where we encouraged
our customers to make their own Melbourne Cup hats.
Highlight was a lady from Germany who vowed to wear
her creation when travelling to Fraser Island as she said
the experience was the highlight of her trip.
Your favourite
destination that we
stop? & Why?
Barcaldine because of its history – in particular the Tree
of Knowledge
Top Tip for train travel? Sit back, relax and enjoy the ever-changing scenery
