Low Elevation Coarse Sand Settings (L-Coarse)<br />

Description: Settings defined by deep sand and other coarse unconsolidated sediments at elevations<br />

below 800’ and above 20’. This environment is characterized by acidic nutrient-poor soils, and supports a<br />

variety of distinctive communities, such as fire dependent Pitch Pine barrens.<br />
