North Sky Estates Subdivision – all <strong>of</strong> the lots<br />
have been sold and only a few lots remain to<br />
be developed. All <strong>of</strong> the lots are expected to be<br />
completely developed by the spring <strong>of</strong> 2008.<br />
(Located ¼ mile west <strong>of</strong> Atkinson on Mescalero)<br />
East Sky Estates Subdivision - all <strong>of</strong> the lots<br />
have been sold and only a few lots remain to<br />
be developed. All <strong>of</strong> the lots are expected to be<br />

La Placita Subdivision – Eight (8) new units<br />
(4-duplexes) are under construction in this 28<br />
lot subdivision. The utilities and main throughstreets<br />
have been installed. Nothing new to<br />
report. (Located on the southwest corner <strong>of</strong> Atkinson and<br />
Mescalero)<br />
Delta West Subdivision – Featherstone<br />
approved the final phase <strong>of</strong> development with<br />
39 lots available, 5 under construction and 4 in<br />
the planning stages. (Located west <strong>of</strong> Washington,<br />
between Berrendo and Mescalero)<br />
Tuscany Subdivision – The utilities and<br />
Cul-De-Sac are in for this Planned-Unit-<br />
Development. 32 lots are available with 8<br />
under construction (4-duplexes). Nothing new<br />
to report. (Located south <strong>of</strong> Mescalero Road and west <strong>of</strong><br />
Kentucky Avenue)<br />
Enchantment West Subdivision - all Phase–I<br />
lots and 15 Phase-II lots are sold, with 15 new<br />
homes currently under construction. More<br />
Phase-II lots are available. (Located west <strong>of</strong> Mullis<br />
Ave. between 8th Street and College)<br />
La Sierra Subdivision – 10 lots sold, 17<br />
are available and 2 new homes are under<br />
construction. (Located on Montana/Union between 19th<br />
and Country Club) Nothing new to report.<br />
La Sierra Town homes - 2 units under<br />
construction with 31 available. Nothing new to<br />
report. (Located south <strong>of</strong> Country Club between<br />
Montana and Washington)<br />
Briar Ridge Unit-B Subdivision – 2 units<br />
(1-duplex) and 5 pad sites are currently under<br />
construction with 19 lots available for sale and<br />
development. Nothing new to report.<br />
(Near the Country Club, lake & Golf Course in Briar Ridge)<br />
Sulimar Subdivision - This has 150 lots and<br />
the Phase-I, (50 lots) should begin development<br />
sometime during the summer months <strong>of</strong> 2007,<br />
according to the developer. (Located between<br />
Berrendo and Mescalero and Kentucky and Washington)<br />
Briar Ridge North Subdivision – This has 57<br />
lots for development. The owner plans to begin<br />
developing new homes in this subdivision in<br />
the near future. Nothing new to report. (Located<br />
inside the Briar Ridge Subdivision, South and East <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>Roswell</strong> Country Club)<br />
OTHER NEW DEVELOPMENTS: The<br />
Alien Apex Resort Theme Park RFP will be<br />
opened July 24th to select the firm to create<br />
the pr<strong>of</strong>essional business services. Over 25<br />
RFP’s have been requested. The selection<br />
committee will have their hands full if only<br />
half <strong>of</strong> these firms submit a proposal. There<br />
is a lot <strong>of</strong> worldwide excitement about this<br />
project.<br />

COAT TALES<br />
The President’s Club “Redcoats”<br />
July activities included lunch at<br />
Nuthin Fancy. President Wanda<br />
Porter gave an update on activities<br />
for July. The Redcoats July events<br />
included a Grand Opening <strong>of</strong> the<br />
“60” UFO FESTIVAL on July<br />
5th. The Redcoats manned the<br />
Information Booth for the three<br />
day Festival. Pioneer Bank hosted<br />
the ILEA Reception at the main<br />
bank on North Pennsylvania. The<br />
countries attending this session<br />
were Djibouti, Kenya, Malawi &<br />
Zambia. The Redcoats were on<br />
hand for Lynn-Ann’s Boutique on<br />
the 14th. Business After Hours was<br />
hosted by Bank <strong>of</strong> the Southwest,<br />
Main Branch at 226 N. Main on<br />
July 19th. It was a well attended<br />
event. Redcoats were on hand<br />
on the 20th to help open the new<br />
Starbucks C<strong>of</strong>fee Shop at the Wal<br />
Mart Store and on the 26th the new<br />
Goodwill Store located at 2601 N.<br />
Main next to Big Lots.<br />
The 57th Class <strong>of</strong> ILEA is<br />
scheduled for the 3rd <strong>of</strong> August.<br />
They will be graduating the<br />
countries <strong>of</strong> Djibouti, Kenya,<br />
Malawi and Zambia. The <strong>Chamber</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Commerce</strong> is hosting the<br />
Redcoats luncheon on the 13th <strong>of</strong><br />
August at the <strong>Chamber</strong> Office.<br />
President Porter would like to<br />
extend an invitation to all <strong>Chamber</strong><br />
Members to join the Redcoat<br />
organization. The Redcoats are<br />
the Ambassadors for the City <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Roswell</strong> and surrounding areas. It<br />
is our Mission to be <strong>of</strong> service to<br />
our community and to promote<br />
your businesses in any fashion we<br />
can, new and old. If you have an<br />
employee that you think would<br />
make a fine ambassador, please<br />
refer them to the <strong>Chamber</strong> or any<br />
active Redcoats.<br />
