Above Kranjska Gora is the Vršič Pass, the highest<br />

road pass in Slovenia. The road was built<br />

by Russian prisoners of war during WWI; the<br />

Russian chapel situated near the road leading<br />

from Kranjska Gora to Vršič is a monument<br />

to their work. The pass is popular starting<br />

point for tackling the peak Sleme, Mala<br />

Mojstrovka, Prisank, Jalovec and Razor.<br />
