<strong>The</strong> <strong>Centre</strong> is a multi‐disciplinary “Learning Factory” providing realistic<br />

work environment learning experience as part of the overall education<br />

package for engineering, construction and non‐engineering students.<br />

It has been offering courses and programmes of practical nature for<br />

the <strong>University</strong>, industry and community since its inception in 1976.<br />

Capitalizing i on its facilities and expertise, it provides research project<br />

support, training, product and process design, product realization,<br />

consultancy and manufacturing services for the students, academic<br />

departments, industry, government and professional bodies.<br />

Technology development and knowledge transfer are some of the<br />

<strong>Centre</strong>’s latest activities reinforcing and supporting the <strong>University</strong> and<br />

industry’s strategic development.<br />
