A21-Day Retreat in France with Thich Nhat Hanh & the Sangha of Plum Village<br />

September 8 - 29,1996<br />

Come and practice with Dharma teachers and teachers-in-training and benefit from the wonderful energy<br />

of this truly international and interdenominational Sangha. <strong>The</strong> essentials of the Buddha's teaching will<br />

beoffered and practiced in a joyful way in the awareness of thepresent situation of our society and of our real<br />

difficulties and concerns. All the Dharma talks will be offered in English with simultaneous translation into<br />

French, German, Italian, and Vietnamese. Dharma discussion will be conducted in various language groups.<br />

<strong>The</strong>re will be daily sittingand walking meditation, silent meals, and tea meditation. Participants will be invited<br />

to share the fruit of their practice and study for all to benefit. All participants should attend the whole retreat.<br />

Priority will be given to Dharma teachers and Dharma teachers in-training. For those of Jewish heritage, this<br />

retreat will also be an opportunityto honor and look deeplyinto their heritage and celebratethe New Year (Rosh<br />

Hashanah) and the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) within the context of such a retreat.<br />

<strong>The</strong> costfor the retreat ranges from FF3000-6200 (US$866-1,380) depending on housing. A FF350 (US$75)<br />

nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve your place. <strong>The</strong> balance is due by June 1,1996, so that Plum Village<br />
