Tender for
Re-carpeting and Widening of Runway at Karad Airport
MADC invites offers from experienced and capable contractors for under taking recarpeting
of the runway as per details given below:
1. Scope of work - Milling existing runway surface, providing tack coat and
providing & laying BM and provision of premix seal coat and applying the runway
surface with statutory markings using road marking paint.
2. Cost of bid document - ` 10,000/- in the form of DD in favour of MADC, Ltd
payable at Mumbai ( Non-refundable)
3. Estimated Cost: ` 1.17 Crore
4. Period of Construction – 30 days
5. Defect – Liability period – 2 years
6. EMD - ` 1 lac
7. Eligibility – This invitation to bid is open to any bidder meeting following
requirements:
a. The contractor should be registered under Category – II with PWD / CPWD
b. Contractors should have executed, within two months, single similar project
(Asphalting) of a minimum cost of ` One Crore and above in the last three years.
The above highlighted condition are Deleted.
c. The contractor should have required machinery available with him to execute
this work.

d. The contractor should deploy following staff with minimum experience of 5-10
years (signed detailed CV’s be submitted)
Project Manager – 1 No.
Quality Assurance / Material Engineer – 1 No.
Site Engineer – 1 No.
(The documents for above should be submitted eligibility criteria duly certified by
Executive Engineer / Chartered Accountant, whichever is applicable.)
8. Sale of blank tender paper from 8.02.2011 to 23.02.2011 within office hours at
MADC office, 8 th floor, WTC, Cuffe parade, Mumbai.
9. Pre tender meeting - 21.02.2011 at 11.30 am.
10. Tender receipt – 24.02.2011 up to 3 pm
11. Opening of tender of eligible contractors at 4 P.M. ( if possible)
