THE SEARCH FOR ‘DROUIN WEST’S GOT TALENT COMPETITION’ IS ON… AND WE NEED YOUR HELP TO DESIGN A POSTER! Can you sing, break dance, juggle, tell jokes, play African drums or do the worm? We are on the hunt for the best talent for our ..... DROUIN WEST’S GOT TALENT COMPETITION to be held at our Fete in March 2013, but first, we need a super design for our advertising poster!! Come up with the best designed poster advertising the ‘Drouin West’s Got Talent Competition’ and if you are the winner, you will receive a FREE WRISTBAND Which entitles you to as many rides as you like on fete day. Please submit your entries in the box at the office by 31 st August, 2012 The winner will be announced at the last assembly of term 3, 2012 Details on how you can perform your act on the day will be coming soon, so start practicing and keep your eyes open for more information! Be a Worker Bee Drouin West Primary School 10am-3pm Saturday 28 th and Sunday 29 th July Come for an hour or come for the day, You are sure to have fun along the way. Bring the kids, some gloves and tools (racks, shovels, wheelbarrows) too. We will share a sausage from the BBQ. If you are around for lunch please RSVP. Or let us know if you can bring afternoon tea. Many hands make the jobs light. To have your company would be a delight. Response forms will be sent home in term 3.
AFL Footy Clinic Reports By Grade 3/4B AFL Richmond Tigers Super Clinic By Jordan D Hi, I’m Jordan D and l am going to tell you about the AFL Richmond Tigers Super Clinic which was on the 19/6/2012 at 1:00 to 1:40. We were going to the Drouin football ground but it was too wet so the Richmond players split up to go to all the schools. They arrived on a bus. Only the grade 3/4’s from 3/4B, 2/3A and 4/5A were invited and got to see the players. Firstly, the 4’s from 4/5A and the 3’s from 2/3A came to Ms Barson’s class to eat an early lunch. While eating our lunch, some children looked through the window and saw the Richmond players arrive. Secondly, we then went to the multi-purpose room and got to asked the Richmond players questions. Then we went outside and practised handballing and then we had to play poison ball. We had to handball the football at people in the circle to get them out. Finally, we got to get autographs from the players. We said goodbye and then we went to lunch play. AFL Footy Clinic! By Ruby On Tuesday the 19th of the 6th 2012 at 1:00 to 1:40, 6 of the AFL Richmond players came to Drouin West Primary School for the grade 3’s and 4’s. We were sooooooooooooooooooooooooo lucky! First we asked questions in the multipurpose room and then we went to the undercover area and practised handballing and we played poison ball with the footballs. It was GREAT to meet AFL players. The Richmond Players By Kaitlyn On Tuesday the 19th of June we were lucky enough to have players from Richmond to come to our school. First we asked questions. Then we did footy skills outside. After that we got signatures from the players. Then they went home on the bus. I felt great to meet more than one famous person. AFL Footy Clinic By Hudson On the 19-6-2012, 6 football players came to our school and played lots of games and football skills. They also signed autographs for our school.
