IBSSA International Special <strong>Security</strong> Training Course<br />
Everything started with a little group of friends, who<br />
wished to create something extraordinary, to launch a special<br />
<strong>and</strong> professional course among the numerous different security<br />
trainings. It was a real challenge with hard work, which<br />
could not came to life without the support of the IBSSA<br />
Leadership! Yet after the second year SEC-tember was a reality,<br />
people already knew what kind of quality <strong>and</strong> professionalism<br />
the name st<strong>and</strong>s for, <strong>and</strong> the information about<br />
this course spread rapidly all around the world.<br />
The IBSSA Headquarters organised its <strong>1st</strong> International<br />
Special <strong>Security</strong> Training Course between 25 – 29<br />
September 2002 in Budapest / Hungary with the support of<br />
the Hungarian Police Department <strong>and</strong> with the patronage<br />
of Prof. George POPPER, Executive President of IBSSA,<br />
Gr<strong>and</strong> Knight Officer, dr. János LÁZÁR police brigade-general,<br />
Deputy Director of the Criminal Department of the<br />
National Police Office, Mr. Géza SIMON police colonel,<br />
Director of Training Center of the National Police<br />
Department.<br />
The 2nd International Special <strong>Security</strong> Training Course<br />
was held between 10 – 14 September 2003 in Budapest /<br />
Hungary with the support of the Hungarian Police Academy<br />
<strong>and</strong> the Adyliget Law Enforcement College. Patrons were:<br />
Prof. George POPPER, GCKM, Executive President of IBSSA,<br />
<strong>and</strong> dr. János LÁZÁR police brigade-general, Deputy Director<br />
of the Criminal Department of the National Police Office.<br />
The 3rd International ADVANCED Special <strong>Security</strong><br />
Training Course – with special regard to Counter Terrorism<br />
<strong>and</strong> VIP Protection – was organised between 21 – 25<br />
September 2004 in Budapest / Hungary. This special training<br />
course was the main event of the year in the region with the<br />
support of the Hungarian Police Academy (RTF – RVTKI),<br />
the Adyliget Law Enforcement College <strong>and</strong> well-known<br />
international experts, Master Teachers <strong>and</strong> highly qualified<br />
Instructors of IBSSA. Patrons of the event were: Prof. George<br />
POPPER, GCKM – President of IBSSA, Dr. József BEREG-<br />
NYEI, board-guard colonel – Director of Adyliget Law<br />
Enforcement College, <strong>and</strong> Dr. Valér DÁNOS, ret. police<br />
brigadier-general – Director of RTF-RVTKI.<br />
Besides numerous IBSSA leaders <strong>and</strong> chief instructors<br />
from all over the world, who were present at these professional<br />
events, many qualified bodyguards, high-ranking officers,<br />
Master Teachers <strong>and</strong> even Instructors of the special units<br />
of the police <strong>and</strong> the army participated at the training. The<br />
attendees <strong>and</strong> instructors arrived from Hungary, Austria,<br />
Bosnia-Herzegovina, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece,<br />
Israel, Italy, the Netherl<strong>and</strong>s, Northern Irel<strong>and</strong>, Romania,<br />
Singapore <strong>and</strong> Slovenia.<br />
The purpose of these special courses was to bring the<br />
IBSSA members together from all around the world <strong>and</strong> also<br />
non-members – who are interested in taking part such courses<br />
– in order to change ideas, knowledge, to solve simulated<br />
"real world" self-defence scenarios so to test the skill <strong>and</strong> ability<br />
of the individual, to improve physical skills, to further<br />
develop shooting skills <strong>and</strong> to extend professional experience.<br />
The training included the following fields:<br />
- Firearms techniques <strong>and</strong> safe use / practical part<br />
- Three days antiterrorist training in Special Police Forces’<br />
Center<br />
- VIP tactics / theoretical & practical part<br />
- Technique <strong>and</strong> technology of security<br />
- Krav Maga / Self defence<br />
Controlling of football fans - demonstration<br />
