VOLUNTEERS
NEEDED FOR
SENIOR SCHOOL
EXAMS
Senior School requires assistance from volunteers who
can read and/or write for students receiving special
examination provisions during exams.
If you are able to help please contact the school
office with your details and Senior School Support will
return your call.
There are already a number of wonderful volunteers
who regularly give their time. However, these
volunteers are not always available for every exam.
A larger register of helpers is required, especially due
to the imminent Higher School Certificate exams.
Information about Special Examination Provisions can
be found on the NSW BOARD OF STUDIES WEBSITE and
from Senior Support.
A Working With Children Check will be required.
Your generous assistance will be very much
appreciated.
A NOTE FROM THE LIBRARY
We were delighted to
see so many parents
and friends visit the
new Library facility at
Hurstville Campus on
Open Day.
We are now fully
functional and enjoying
the buzz of students
reading, playing board
games and coming for
research and reading
lessons with their
teachers.
We have a constant flow of new books: Let
me highlight three new series recently added
to the “New Book” shelf:
• In Junior Fiction novels: Jackie French’s
Animal Rescue series. Each book is about
100 pages, in larger print.
• Our Australian Girl, by various authors,
follows the adventures of different girls
at various times in Australia’s history.
• For older readers, a new series by
Christian authors Bodie and Brock
Thoene. Zion Diaries, is set against the
background of Nazi Germany.
