It is my pleasure to
present to you Rashi’s 2012
Annual Report.

HEAD OF SCHOOL’S
MESSAGE
2011-2012 was a wonderful year for our
school. We have truly settled into our
Dedham campus, which now seems like it
has always been our home. Our multigenerational
programming is thriving, with a
myriad of activities both within our walls
and across the street at NewBridge (see
page 8).
Rashi students continue to be engaged in
learning, in both core academic subjects
and in areas such as music, which has
really flourished this year with a program
that has heightened children’s understanding
and use of the power of music
(see page 10).
Our teachers are harnessing the power of
technology to enhance instruction in the
21 st century. They are working with consultants
to create a connected learning
environment at the school that will bring
together established learning theory and
the power of social and digital media. The
possibilities are infinite and exciting.
The community mosaic project was a
highlight of this year (see page 6). I have
never seen a project generate so much energy
among children and adults sustained
over such a long period of time. The excitement
in the building was palpable and the
result is truly spectacular.
As always, our mission and our values
direct our energies and focus our efforts.
This report highlights activities of the
past year and recognizes donors to our
Annual and Capital Campaigns.
I want to thank each of you for helping
to make this year so successful. It is your
generosity that enables us to maintain and
strengthen our programs which serve our
students and which will sustain Rashi for
generations to come.
