Jasper Riding Stables offers travelers an adventure of a lifetime – the chance to explore the natural
beauty of the Rocky Mountains on horseback! Options include one, two and three hour trail rides led
by trained and qualified guides who will take you along trails with spectacular views and abundant
opportunities to see wildlife. An additional facility includes an on site log gazebo that can accommodate
groups of up to 100 people for authentic outdoor BBQs. Special packages and group rates are available
for trail rides and group events.

Jasper Tramway
The experience of being gently transported into Jasper National Park’s alpine tundra will captivate all
ages, and is merely the beginning of an experience the whole family will cherish. Jasper Tramway is
the longest and highest guided aerial tramway in Canada, and the only guided aerial ropeway in the
Canadian Rockies, providing visitors with unprecedented views of six mountain ranges, glacial fed lakes,
the Athabasca River (Alberta’s longest), and the scenic mountain townsite of Jasper. Explore the alpine
summit trail to an elevation of 8100 feet / 2468 meters, or simply relax in the Treeline Restaurant for a

Marmot Basin
Just 20 minutes south of Jasper, Marmot Basin offers four mountain faces of heavenly powder from early
November to the end of April. Whether you start your day on the long, winding novice runs, or in the alpine
bowls, make sure you catch your breath on the slopes because there will be no lift lines waiting for you. Winter
2014 will mark Marmot’s 50th anniversary. This is your best chance to share a story with one of the many locals
who you are sure to meet in one of our three day lodges. Ski area amenities include quality ski/snowboard

Skyline Trail Rides
Located on The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge grounds, we offer safe guided trail rides from 1 hour to
4.5 hours. Rides travel around some of the area’s most beautiful lakes (Annette & Trefoil), along the
Athabasca River or up to Maligne Canyon. Pony Rides are available for children 6 years of age and under.
You can also book private riding lessons. For hikers of the Skyline Trail, we offer Horse Assisted Hiking
packages to our backcountry Shovel Pass Lodge in July and August. The Riding Stables are open from
May 18 to October 15, 2013.

Walks & Talks Jasper
Join our guide on fun and informative walks in Jasper’s spectacular national park. Our guide has her
professional level “IGA” and first aid certification, and is a lifetime Jasper resident. Recommended as
“The Best Hike for the Day,” we hike to the alpine zone and stop to enjoy the awesome view. Bring a
lunch as we stop for a picnic in nature. Group sizes are small and van transportation is provided. In the
winter we offer snowshoe or cross country ski outings. Book at Edge Control Ski & Outdoors located at
