RockStar ® Housings IP68
The new RockStar ® IP68 and IP69K housings are resistant to sea water and high
impacts. They are designed for use under extreme environmental conditions and
comply with the high vibration requirements of DIN EN 61373 Cat 2 (pivot mounting).
These housings deliver a fail-safe and maintenance-free solution when using heavyduty
connectors in transportation, traffic engineering and energy technology. They are
also suitable for applications subject to extreme climatic conditions.
Weidmüller has designed the RockStar ® IP68 housings with additional built-in features
that ensure outstanding EMC. The bulkhead or base housing, combined with the plug
housing, produces a labyrinth structure which ensures high shield attenuation.
RockStar ® IP68 housings are available in sizes 1, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 8 XXL; they can be
combined with all fixed-pole modular inserts.
