HE coding pin
Use the HE coding pin for a quick and simple solution to avoid
mixing up your plug-in connections. The coding pin can be
inserted into a single contact chamber (instead of a crimp
contact) on both the male and female side of the connector. The
opposite mated contact then remains free. The HE coding pin
can be used to code all inserts and modules using HE-series
crimp contacts.
These include the following:
• HA crimp inserts
• HE crimp inserts
• HEE inserts
• HQ 5 insert
• HQ 8 insert
• S8/24 insert (power contacts)
• CM-HE module

HQ 7 coding system
You can protect 7-pole HQ connectors against false insertions
by using the HQ 7 coding system. Both a coding pin and
socket are used for protection. Six different variants are
permitted by the shape of the optional coding which is aligned
centrally in the connector. Refer to the coding diagram for the
layout.
