Social Learning Workshop
To assist participants in prioritising the adaptation strategies, a scenario table developed from a desktop review
was used to define the likely conditions in the region under the three timeframes (Table 41). Findings from the
semi-structured interviews were used to develop a table <strong>of</strong> adaptation strategies which were prioritised during the
workshop (Table 42). A total <strong>of</strong> 50 adaptation responses and strategies were identified from the two broad
categories, i.e. rainforest and reef. <strong>The</strong>se strategies were grouped to provide structure and enhance their
processing during the workshop. <strong>The</strong> categories under which the strategies were grouped followed the themes
that developed during the interviewing process. <strong>The</strong>se themes were: natural environment, coastal, tourist,
infrastructure, community, and policy. Some adaptation strategies were common to more than one theme.
