AGM minutes 25 August 2010 v2 - safma

• ELECTION OF COUNCIL
Cliff Hocking’s announcement that he was not available for re-election as President was
noted with regret. However, Cliff agreed to remain a member of the Council.
The Council for 2010/11 was elected as follows:

Arend van der Walt (Broll representative / alternate)
Aubrey McElnea (Drake & Scull representative)
Bill Ward (Colliers Representative)
Brendon Burger (Broll representative / alternate)
Cliff Hocking
Chris Aslett (WSP representative / alternate)

Ernest Sikupela
Hombisa Hombela Bubu (Intersite representative)
John Samuel
Keith Thompson
Maja MacDougall
Makhwenkwe Lukuko (TFMC representative)

It was agreed that council members would be elected to their positions at the first
Council meeting.
Douglas Weinrich reiterated that the Council as elected would not all be named as
Directors of the new Section 21 Company once it was incorporated, but that the new
directors would be named from this list.
It was AGREED that Nicolette van den Eijkel as the Secretary would call the next Council
meeting.
• GENERAL
Nicolette van den Eijkel, on behalf of SAFMA members thanked Cliff Hocking for his
commitment to SAFMA and for the work he has put in during his tenure as President.
Nicolette also reiterated the need for input from members into the running of SAFMA
