Skill Development Initiatives U-Can awards promoted in the county Annual Assess the effectiveness of skill development programmes. Coaching & Games Skill Development Initiatives Club Nursery Programme. 24 clubs on board in 2011. Target 8 new clubs for 2012. Programme will enable parents and coaches to develop the ABC’s and Basic Skills of 4-7 year olds in their club. Coaching & Games Skill Development Initiatives Fundamentals Schools Programme. Target 12 schools in the county in 2012. Programme will provide Fundamentals course for Teachers and 3 follow up sessions for Jnr Infants - 2nd class children. Coaching & Games Skill Development Initiatives Skill Development Initiatives Hurling Forum 2012 Gormanstown Super Football Camp Follow up with meetings with Leinster Council, County Committee and Games Manager. Outcome to be presented to clubs mid November Target U 15 players. Invite Meath,Dublin, Louth & Kildare 2012 To help develope a better structure for Meath Hurling in the future and to improve the standards within the county of coaching and playing. Games on the Green Pilot the football in Ashbourne 2011 and extend to 8 venues (4 Football & 4 Hurling) in 2012 2011 saw a pilot of this programme in 2 areas in Navan (Blackcastle & Athlumney Estates). In 2012: 4 new areas will have programme implemented. Provide an opportunity to play games during the winter months at indoor and outdoor astro venues. Target 4th class children.
