Planning and Infrastructure AIM: To improve the overall club structures within the County. Introduction: In these challenging times, the need to plan ahead has never been greater. As a county, we need to constantly review what we are doing and ask ourselves if we can improve. Planning ahead in this manner will increase our ability to respond to new challenges as they arise. Our clubs can also benefit greatly from this process and we will aim to have all our clubs complete their own five year plan. Key Projects: County Plan Implementation We will appoint a committee to oversee the implementation of this plan. This committee will meet on a quarterly basis to review progress of the plan and re set targets if needed and set new targets. There will also be an annual county club forum to discuss the progress and targets with our club officers. Club Planning This programme facilitates clubs to put their own five year strategic plan in place. We will train facilitators to deliver this programme in the county and we expect 10 clubs to develop their own plan each year. These plans will help ensure that our clubs continue to progress and prosper. Centre of Excellence and County Grounds We will upgrade facilities at Páirc Tailteann to include the possibility of new covered accommodation. This will help ensure that our patrons watch our games in a comfortable and safe environment. We will also review our facilities at Dunganny with a view to adding pitches and changing rooms. Currently there are three full size sand based pitches with lights, one astro turf pitch with lights, eight temporary changing rooms, toilets, canteen facilities and car park. Annual Club Forum Each year, we will hold an annual club forum where we will discuss all aspects of the development of the Association in Meath with representatives from our clubs. We will review all our targets as set out in this plan. 22
