Whenever I have a moment
free from touring with The
Canadian Tenors, I make my
way to St. Catharines. The city
has character, history and
some of the most beautiful
scenery I’ve ever seen. From
the crashing waves on a windy
day in old Port Dalhousie, to
the sounds of the ships arriving
through the Welland Canal;
one feels as though you’re in
a time capsule, in more than
one place at a time. There are
beautiful drives up through
lush greenery and wineries,
which are just minutes away
from the majestic gorge of the
falls. As an artist it’s a place
to dream big and be inspired
amongst the beauty of nature
the city holds. It is a safe place
where my family resides, it is
the home where my heart lies.

St. Catharines is home of the world-famous
flash-mobbers Chorus Niagara, one of many
innovative arts groups in the city. We‘ve got
hot theatre, cool music and sizzling dance in
our performing arts scene - check out the Old
Courthouse in downtown or the Centre for the
Arts at Brock University.
Our visual arts scene is vibrating with local,
national and international artists – St. Catharines’
downtown core has a rich collection of art
galleries and artist-run centres. Additionally,
Port Dalhousie houses a wealth of cultural
treasures – historic and contemporary!
