- Oedipus Rex (2009) the creation of <strong>Constanza</strong> <strong>Macras</strong> first opera project, the Igor<br />
Stravinsky Opera for 8 dancers. It premiered in November with the collaboration of the<br />
Dresdner Kammerchor and Festspielhaus Hellerau. The Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota,<br />
with whom <strong>Constanza</strong> <strong>Macras</strong> realized the project In Silence at the Kanagawa Art<br />
Foundation of Yokohama in 2008, designed the stage.<br />
- Megalopolis (2009) created and performed by 10 dancers and 3 musicians, deals with<br />
the phenomenon of megacities as a paradigm for spaces in which people live without<br />
knowing each other. In Megalopolis, which was produced with Schaubuehne Berlin and<br />
coproduced with Hellerau and MESS Sarajevo, she created not a specific but a<br />
metaphysical space where the boundlessness of a Megacity forces to perceive the city<br />
as collage of countless biographical scraps.<br />
-Offside Rules (2010) a co-production between the Goethe-Institut South Africa, the<br />
Market Theatre and <strong>Constanza</strong> <strong>Macras</strong> | Dorky Park. In this special collaboration, three<br />
performers from <strong>Constanza</strong> <strong>Macras</strong>’ company team up with dancers from Johannesburg<br />
to reflect on the first African World Cup.<br />
During this time <strong>Macras</strong> also created:<br />
- Happiness (2003) for the ballet of the Saarlaendisches Staatstheater<br />
- Pegarle a la Bolsa (2004) a commission from the Goethe Institut Cordoba (Argentina)<br />
- Ein Sommernachtstraum (2006) together with Thomas Ostermeier, the Schaubuehne<br />
ensemble and dancers from CONSTANZA MACRAS | DORKYPARK. Premiered at the<br />
Hellenic Festival, Athens<br />
- Paraiso sem Concolacao (2008) a commission work of the Goethe Institut Sao Paulo<br />
with dancers from the company and a Brazilian cast premiered in Sao Paulo<br />
The Choreographer and Director <strong>Constanza</strong> <strong>Macras</strong>, has also taught workshops and<br />
master classes in Japan, the United States, India, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium,<br />
Switzerland, the Hochschuele fur Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch and Hochschuele fuer<br />
Muesik, Berlin.
