TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 

The following technical requirement represents the ideal conditions 

under which the company wishes to operate. Any modifications must 

be negotiated between the presenter and Dorky Park. 

Closer to the date of the performance we will provide 

adapted lighting plans, stage layout plans, confirmed schedule. 

In order to prepare those plans in advance the presenter is asked to send all relevant 

plans and inventory lists as soon as possible. Ground plan and section view should show 

audience seating and rake and should not be of a scale less than 1 : 50, and also CAD 

plans if possible.

General description of the set 

The set consists of a black glossy dance floor with a layer of soft floor underlay. On the floor are 

two houses 2,17cm high, one left 3m wide , one right 6m wide with roofs to walk on. The space 

between the houses makes a corridor which should be at least 2m wide. A 2m deep and 6m long 

bridge (Zarge) is fixed on the houses and over the corridor between them, connecting the two roofs 

. Roof tops and bridge (Zarge) are also covered with dance floor and there is a railing surrounding 

the roof tops on the sides and the back edges. The third house is a „high rise“ with maximum 8,5m 

height. The height is adjustable to a smaller room to a minimum of 5m height. Behind the houses 

at the very back of the scene is a painted backdrop which is fixed to a traverse frame. There are 

two video screens, one left 4,65m wide, one right 3m wide on triangle steel frames placed in the 

front of the houses , as well as a billboard of 2,5m width placed on the roof top of the right house. 

The band is placed under the left side screen where there is a big pile of rubble consisting of 

mainly carton boxes , pillows, cloth and clothes and plastic bags. Under the right side screen is a 

wooden „telephone corner „ counter with plastic stools to it. 

We bring: 

• The set, the props, the costumes. 

We require: 

STAGE 

• Dimensions: 

- 20m wide x 15m deep dancing area. As the wings are visible, the whole stage 

must be empty and clean. 

• Floor: 

- A clean and even floor, covered with blue dance mat, 20m x 12m, side to side (we 

bring). 

- 20 x 12m soft material to lay under the dance floor, 2-3mm thick - parquet 

insulating underlay (extruded polystyrene heavy foam around 2.2 mm thick for 

floating installation of laminate floors and prefabricated parquet), cork, foam rubber 

or similar. 

• Masking: 

- 20 x 9m black back drop, flat, no pleats and piped for a straight edge. 

• Goods: 

- A truss frame to support the back drop must be lifted with help of motors of fly 

battens and fixed . 

- The structure of the 3 rd house (8,5m high) must be lift with help of motors or fly 

battens. 

- Material to lift the structures (ropes, slings, shackles, safety chains, hooks, 

carabiner, pulley system, etc) 

- A safety device to prevent falling (the company brings), used by a dancer to climb 

the 3 rd house, must be fixed directly to the grid. 

- Basic theatre tools, battery drill, saw, etc. 

- A forklift is necessary to load in and out.



LIGHTING 

All changes to adjust the lighting design to your theatre have to be discussed in advance.

cables. The lighting direction needs direct view onto the stage. If necessary, adapters for 

the European SCHUKO system are needed.

There’s use of fire and smoke on stage for about 4 minutes each.



SOUND 

All changes to adjust the sound design to your theatre have to be discussed in advance.

VIDEO 

The video requires a separate voltage supply (230V, 50 Hz, 16A), power distributor and 

cable. The video direction needs direct view onto the stage and clean power supply. 

Flexible hanging structure and stand for the beamer is requested. If necessary, adapters 

for the European ‘Schuko’ system are needed. 

-2 x Video beamer, 6.000 Ansilumen, able to support 16:9 format. with lens to project 

images one 4,65m wide, other 3m wide. - distance from the screen: variable, minimum 

12m; height aprox. 8m. THE SCREEN SIZE IS NOT VARIABLE as it part of the set. 

- 2 x VGA Connection 1280x720px 

The company brings:

WARDROBE 

ALL COSTUME CHANGES ARE TAKING PLACE ON THE STAGE DURING THE SHOW. 

ONE POSITION OF MAKE-UP ON THE STAGE INCLUNDING MIRROR AND LIGHT.

- 01 Staff Member, 5 hours daily, in the evening after the show and in the morning for 

washing, drying, ironing and repairing. 

- 01 Staff Member, 10 hours daily, the same for costume, to help in the back stage during 

run through and each performance.

MAKE UP

DRESSING ROOMS 

- Completely equipped separate dressing rooms with full height mirrors for 10 Dancers (6 

female and 4 male) and 03 Musicians (02 female and 01 male). 

- One separate room for 6 Technicians. 

- One separate room for 1 Production/Tour Manager. 

- Temperature in the dressing rooms should be 22°C. 

- Lounges in the dancers dressing rooms. 

- Enough space for make-up in the dressing rooms. 

- Toilette und shower facilities (no public lavatory) with hot and cold water and showers. 

- Sufficient drinking water (without gas) in bottles: 30 Litters (in 0,5l to 1,5l bottles) for 

rehearsals and for each show. 

- Fruits and sandwiches. 

PROPS 

- The company brings the props.



TECHNICAL STAFF 

Any change to this schedule has to be discussed immediately with the company 

This schedule assumes that on our arrival: 

- the floor is levelled 

- all required lighting and sound equipment is in the theatre 

- soft goods and hanging hardware are available 

- in warehouses (etc.) the platform and a grid is already build 

- a local experienced crew is available 

As a crew for the load in and initial construction of the set we will need: 

- 1 head technician/facility manager at space to check lists, discuss production schedule, 

rentals. He should be present all the times the company is in the theatre. 

- 8 carpenters/riggers/fly men/props 

- 6 electricians 

- 3 sound technicians 

- 1 video technician 

- 1 wardrobe person 

- 1 make up artist 

As a running crew 

- 2 electrician familiar with the local lighting desk 

- 1 stage technician.

SEATS 

some places for sound, video and lighting controls are to be cancelled. The sound tech or 

manager who knows the acoustic circumstances of the house should suggest the best 

position for the sound. 

Miscellaneous 

• Coffee, tea, non-sparkling mineral water, fruits and sanwiches for dancers and crew 

during set up period, rehearsals and performances. 

• Costumes must be washed and dried after each show. 

• The stage must be cleaned before and after each run through and performance.
