TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
The following technical requirement represents the ideal conditions under which the
company wishes to operate. Any modifications must be negotiated between the presenter
and Dorky Park. Closer to the date of the performance we will provide adapted lighting
plans, stage layout plans, confirmed schedule. In order to prepare those plans in advance
the presenter is asked to send all relevant plans and inventory lists as soon as possible.
Ground plan and section view should show audience seating and rake and should not be
of a scale less than 1 : 50, and also CAD plans if possible.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
General description of the set
The set consists of a scaffold structure with wooden front and brown dance floor. Under
this structure there is a shower cabinet installed (water supply and drain are required).
We bring:
• The set, the props, the costumes.
We require:
STAGE
• Dimensions:
- 10m wide x 15m deep dancing area. As the wings are visible, the whole stage
must be empty and clean.
- Minimum height of the grid: 7 meters.
• Floor:
- A clean and even floor, covered with brown dance mat, 12m x 15m (we bring).
- 12 x 15m soft material to lay under the dance floor, 2-3mm thick - parquet
insulating underlay (extruded polystyrene heavy foam around 2.2 mm thick for
floating installation of laminate floors and prefabricated parquet), cork, foam rubber
or similar. A second dance floor underneath is also possible.
• Masking:
- 12m x 10m dark grey cyclorama, flat, no pleats and piped for a straight edge.
- Two black drops (full or in parts) to mask the sides (German masking).
• Goods:
- 1 platform 2m(w) x 2m(d) x 1m (h) to be used as part of the set.
- 1 ladder 5m high to access the higher platform of the set.
- Water supply (warm) and drain for the shower.
- 1 strip earth band + 10mm2 cable (the scaffold must be grounded/earthed).
- Basic theatre tools, battery drill, saw, etc.
- A forklift is necessary to load in and out.

LIGHTING
All changes to adjust the lighting design to your theatre have to be discussed in advance.

The lighting requires a separate voltage supply (230V, 50 Hz, 16A), power distributor and
cables. The lighting direction needs direct view onto the stage. If necessary, four adapters
for the European SCHUKO system are needed.

Cables as needed.
03 X booms 3m high for 4xPAR 64 each.
A wind machine is used during the show. A separate voltage supply (230V, 50 Hz, 16A), is
required on downstage left.
Note:
Equipment must be in good condition with working shutters, irises and barn doors where needed.
The presenter will also provide hooks and sufficient amount of cables according to the lighting plot.

SOUND

cables. The sound direction needs direct view onto the stage and clean power supply.
Sound booth should be in the same acoustical space as the audience – not in a control
room or under balconies.

Monitoring:
2 x monitor for musicians ( wedges)
4 x monitor on a stand or hung (centre stage L+R + downstage L+R ( D&B C6 o.e.)
All cabling/ patches/adapters to connect the system
Instruments:
1 x upright piano – tuned (440 Hz).
VIDEO
The video requires a separate voltage supply (230V, 50 Hz, 16A), power distributor and
cables. The video direction needs direct view onto the stage and clean power supply.
Flexible hanging structure and stand for the beamer is requested. If necessary, adapters
for the European ‘Schuko’ system are needed.
- 1 x Video beamer, 9.000 Ansilumen (Sanyo PLC XF35E/L or similar) with lens to project
an image 3m wide. - distance from the screen: variable, minimum 6m; height approx. 8m.
The position of the beamer shall not interfere the view of the audience in the
upper rows!
THE SCREEN SIZE IS NOT VARIABLE as it is part of the stage-setting.
- 1 shutter with control cable.
- 1 x Video mixer, able to fade out into black (Pioneer DV-444 or similar).
- 1 x DVD- Player – “on-screen-display” possible to be turned off and output to sound
board (Pioneer DV-444 or similar).
- 2 x Monitors (1 for the musicians).
- Connection to the sound desk.
N.B.: It's absolutely necessary to have a technician just for the video, independent
from the sound crew.
SUBTITLES
*Just for non German speaking places
- 1 x Video beamer, min. 6.000 Ansilumen, for subtitles.
- 1 shutter with control cable.

WARDROBE
ALL COSTUME CHANGES ARE TAKING PLACE ON THE STAGE DURING THE SHOW.
1. STAFF
- 02 Staff Members, dressers, backstage during every rehearsal and show.
- 01 Staff Member, 5 hours daily, in the evening after the show and in the morning for
washing, drying, ironing and repairing.

- 01 separate room for 4 Technicians.
- 01 separate room for 1 Production/Tour Manager.
- All dressing rooms have to be equipped with full height mirrors.
- Temperature in the dressing rooms should be 22°C.
- Lounges in the dancers dressing rooms.
- Make-up place: table and illuminated mirror, enough space for make-up in the dressing
rooms.
- Toilette und shower facilities (male & female separated - no public lavatory) with hot and
cold water and showers.

- Sufficient drinking water (without gas) in bottles: 30 Litters (in 0,5l to 1,5l bottles) for
rehearsals and for each show.
ALIMENTATION
This should be provided at least -30- minutes before each rehearsal -60- minutes before
each show:
- Drinks
- 80 pcs. 0,5l bottles of non-sparkling drinking water:
(24 liters bottles in each KIDS-dressing room= 48 bottles)
(12 liters in each MALE & FEMALE-dressing room= -24- bottles)
(04 liters in each MUSICIAN-dressing room= -08- bottles)
- Food
A) fruits and sandwiches:
- each Dressing room KIDS:
-1 Fruit-Basket with approx. 3kg fruits (eg.: bananas, apples, peaches,
grapes)
-15 sandwiches (we have many muslim cast-members! Therefore PLEASE:
no PORK or BEEF!! Just chicken/ cheese/ tomatoes/ cucumber/ boiled eggs
etc.)
- PLEASE no sweets!
- each Dressing room MALE/FEMALE:
-1 fruit basket with approx. 2kg fruits (eg.: bananas, apples, peaches, grapes)
-10 sandwiches (ad lib)
This should be provided per day during set-up (day -1- and -2-) for technicians and
production staff:
a. dressing room technicians:
i. -24 pcs. 0,5l bottles non sparkling drinking water
ii. -09 sandwiches (morning)

b. room “production”

TECHNICAL STAFF
Any change to this schedule has to be discussed immediately with the company
This schedule assumes that on our arrival:
- the floor is levelled
- all required lighting and sound equipment is in the theatre
- soft goods and hanging hardware are available
- in warehouses (etc.) the platform and a grid is already build
- a local experienced crew is available
As a crew for the load in and initial construction of the set we will need:
- 1 head technician/facility manager at space to check lists, discuss production schedule,
rentals. He should be present all the times the company is in the theatre.
- 6 carpenters/riggers/fly men/props
- 4 electricians
- 2 sound technicians
- 1 video technician (in addition to sound staff)
- 1 wardrobe person
As a running crew
- 2 electrician familiar with the local lighting desk
- 1 stage technician.
- 1 sound tech. stand by
- 1 video tech. stand by
- 2 wardrobe persons
To Strike and load out:
- 6 stage technicians
- 2 sound technicians
N.B.:
• During load in and out, a forklift is necessary.

SEATS
Some places for sound, video and lighting controls are to be cancelled. The sound tech or
manager who knows the acoustic circumstances of the house should suggest the best
position for the sound.
Miscellaneous
• Coffee, tea, non-sparkling mineral water, fruits and sandwiches for dancers and crew
during set up period, rehearsals and performances.
• Costumes must be washed and dried after each show.
• The stage must be cleaned before and after each run through and performance.
*Details and small changes on this tech rider may be discussed directly with the
person responsible for each department.
