TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS<br />

The following technical requirement represents the ideal conditions<br />

under which the company wishes to operate. Any modifications must<br />

be negotiated between the presenter and Dorky Park.<br />

Closer to the date of the performance we will provide<br />

adapted lighting plans, stage layout plans, confirmed schedule.<br />

In order to prepare those plans in advance the presenter is asked to send all relevant<br />

plans and inventory lists as soon as possible. Ground plan and section view should show<br />

audience seating and rake and should not be of a scale less than 1 : 50, and also CAD<br />

plans if possible.<br />

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS<br />

General description of the set<br />

The set consists of a blue grey dance floor with a layer of soft floor underlay, three wooden mobile<br />

elements (“houses”) covered with foam are placed upstage right, center and left and an air<br />

inflatable bouncy castle. Upstage the houses starts a catwalk 1m high that surrounds the stage to<br />

stage left. A video projection screen 8m wide hangs in front of a black back drop, behind which is<br />

the wardrobe area for costumes changes. On stage right, a platform for the band (8m x 6m)<br />

completes the set.<br />

We bring:<br />

STAGE<br />

• Dimensions:<br />

- 15m wide x 15m deep dancing area. As the wings are visible, the whole stage<br />

must be empty and clean.<br />

• Floor:<br />

- A clean and even floor, covered with blue dance mat, 15m x 12m, side to side (we<br />

bring).<br />

- 15 x 12m soft material to lay under the dance floor, 2-3mm thick - parquet<br />

insulating underlay (extruded polystyrene heavy foam around 2.2 mm thick for<br />

floating installation of laminate floors and prefabricated parquet), cork, foam rubber<br />

or similar. (we bring).<br />

• Masking:<br />

- 20 x 9m black back drop, flat, no pleats and piped for a straight edge.<br />

• Goods:<br />

- 6 x Stage Platforms 1m x 2m (KLEU) with 33cm feet for the band (see stage plan)<br />

covered with black carpet.<br />

- 1 ladder ca. 2,4m high, 8 rung, onstage, behind the stage right House.<br />

- Basic theatre tools, battery drill, saw, etc.<br />

- A forklift is necessary to load in and out.

All changes to adjust the lighting design to your theatre have to be discussed in advance.<br />

The video requires a separate voltage supply (230V, 50 Hz, 16A), power distributor and<br />

cable. The video direction needs direct view onto the stage and clean power supply.<br />

Flexible hanging structure and stand for the beamer is requested. If necessary, adapters<br />

for the European ‘Schuko’ system are needed.<br />

-1 x Video beamer 12.000 Ansilumen, able to support 16:9 format. With 1,2 wide angle<br />

lens to project images one 8m wide and 4,5 high. - distance from the screen: about 10m;<br />

height aprox. 9m. THE SCREEN SIZE IS NOT VARIABLE as it part of the set.<br />

- Completely equipped separate dressing rooms with full height mirrors for 10 Dancers (7<br />

- One separate room for 5 Technicians.<br />

- One separate room for 1 Production/Tour Manager.<br />

- Temperature in the dressing rooms should be 22°C.<br />

- Lounges in the dancers dressing rooms.<br />

- Enough space for make-up in the dressing rooms.<br />

- Toilette und shower facilities (no public lavatory) with hot and cold water and showers.<br />

- Sufficient drinking water (without gas) in bottles: 30 Litters (in 0,5l to 1,5l bottles) for<br />

rehearsals and for each show.<br />

- Fruits, snacks and sandwiches (vegatarian and non-vegetarian) near the dressing rooms<br />

and rehearsal studio.<br />

SEATS<br />

Some places for sound, video and lighting controls are to be cancelled. The sound tech or<br />

manager who knows the acoustic circumstances of the house should suggest the best<br />

position for the sound.<br />

Miscellaneous<br />

• Coffee, tea, non-sparkling mineral water, fruits and sandwiches (vegetarian and nonvegetarian)<br />

for dancers and crew during set up period, rehearsals (also in rehearsal<br />

studio) and performances.<br />

• Costumes must be washed and dried after each show.<br />

• The stage must be cleaned before and after each run through and performance.<br />

*Details and small changes on this tech rider may be discussed directly with the<br />
