TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 

The following technical requirement represents the ideal conditions 

under which the company wishes to operate. Any modifications must 

be negotiated between the presenter and Dorky Park. 

Closer to the date of the performance we will provide 

adapted lighting plans, stage layout plans, confirmed schedule. 

In order to prepare those plans in advance the presenter is asked to send all relevant 

plans and inventory lists as soon as possible. Ground plan and section view should show 

audience seating and rake and should not be of a scale less than 1 : 50, and also CAD 

plans if possible.

General description of the set 

The set consists of a blue grey dance floor with a layer of soft floor underlay, three wooden mobile 

elements (“houses”) covered with foam are placed upstage right, center and left and an air 

inflatable bouncy castle. Upstage the houses starts a catwalk 1m high that surrounds the stage to 

stage left. A video projection screen 8m wide hangs in front of a black back drop, behind which is 

the wardrobe area for costumes changes. On stage right, a platform for the band (8m x 6m) 

completes the set. 

We bring: 

• The set, the props, the costumes. 

We require: 

STAGE 

• Dimensions: 

- 15m wide x 15m deep dancing area. As the wings are visible, the whole stage 

must be empty and clean. 

• Floor: 

- A clean and even floor, covered with blue dance mat, 15m x 12m, side to side (we 

bring). 

- 15 x 12m soft material to lay under the dance floor, 2-3mm thick - parquet 

insulating underlay (extruded polystyrene heavy foam around 2.2 mm thick for 

floating installation of laminate floors and prefabricated parquet), cork, foam rubber 

or similar. (we bring). 

• Masking: 

- 20 x 9m black back drop, flat, no pleats and piped for a straight edge. 

• Goods: 

- 6 x Stage Platforms 1m x 2m (KLEU) with 33cm feet for the band (see stage plan) 

covered with black carpet. 

- 1 ladder ca. 2,4m high, 8 rung, onstage, behind the stage right House. 

- Basic theatre tools, battery drill, saw, etc. 

- A forklift is necessary to load in and out.



LIGHTING 

All changes to adjust the lighting design to your theatre have to be discussed in advance.

The lighting requires a separate voltage supply (230V, 50 Hz, 16A), power distributor and 

cables. The lighting direction needs direct view onto the stage. If necessary, adapters for 

the European SCHUKO system are needed.

SOUND 

All changes to adjust the sound design to your theatre have to be discussed in advance.

room or under balconies.

COMUNICATION SYSTEM (INTERCOMS) 

• 4 x belt pack/ headset on one circuit. 

• All cabling/ patches/adapters to connect the system. 

VIDEO 

The video requires a separate voltage supply (230V, 50 Hz, 16A), power distributor and 

cable. The video direction needs direct view onto the stage and clean power supply. 

Flexible hanging structure and stand for the beamer is requested. If necessary, adapters 

for the European ‘Schuko’ system are needed. 

-1 x Video beamer 12.000 Ansilumen, able to support 16:9 format. With 1,2 wide angle 

lens to project images one 8m wide and 4,5 high. - distance from the screen: about 10m; 

height aprox. 9m. THE SCREEN SIZE IS NOT VARIABLE as it part of the set. 

-1 x Video beamer 6.000 Ansilumen for subtitles 

VGA connection to the Video control room.



WARDROBE 

ALL COSTUME CHANGES ARE TAKING PLACE ON THE STAGE DURING THE SHOW. 

ONE POSITION OF MAKE-UP ON THE STAGE INCLUNDING MIRROR AND LIGHT.

performance, in the evening after the show and in the morning for washing, drying, ironing 

and repairing.

MAKE UP/HAIR DRESSER 

1. STAFF 

- 01 Staff Member 05 hours daily for Make-Up/Hair Dresser, 2 hours before the Show 

starts and during each Performance 

2. BEHIND THE SET 

- 01 Make-up table with light behind the set. 

- 01 Box of tissues each performance. 

DRESSING ROOMS 

- Completely equipped separate dressing rooms with full height mirrors for 10 Dancers (7 

female and 3 male) and 02 Musicians (02 female). 

- One separate room for 5 Technicians. 

- One separate room for 1 Production/Tour Manager. 

- Temperature in the dressing rooms should be 22°C. 

- Lounges in the dancers dressing rooms. 

- Enough space for make-up in the dressing rooms. 

- Toilette und shower facilities (no public lavatory) with hot and cold water and showers. 

- Sufficient drinking water (without gas) in bottles: 30 Litters (in 0,5l to 1,5l bottles) for 

rehearsals and for each show. 

- Fruits, snacks and sandwiches (vegatarian and non-vegetarian) near the dressing rooms 

and rehearsal studio. 

PROPS 

- The company brings the props.



TECHNICAL STAFF 

Any change to this schedule has to be discussed immediately with the company 

This schedule assumes that on our arrival: 

- the floor is levelled 

- all required lighting and sound equipment is in the theatre 

- soft goods and hanging hardware are available 

- in warehouses (etc.) the platform and a grid is already build 

- a local experienced crew is available 

As a crew for the load in and initial construction of the set we will need: 

- 1 head technician/facility manager at space to check lists, discuss production schedule, 

rentals. He should be present all the times the company is in the theatre. 

- 4 carpenters/riggers/fly men/props 

- 4 electricians 

- 3 sound technicians 

- 2 video technician 

- 1 person for props 

- 2 wardrobe person 

- 1 make up artist 

As a running crew 

- 2 electricians familiar with the local lighting desk 

- 2 stage technicians (wearing black to change the scenography during the show).

SEATS 

Some places for sound, video and lighting controls are to be cancelled. The sound tech or 

manager who knows the acoustic circumstances of the house should suggest the best 

position for the sound. 

Miscellaneous 

• Coffee, tea, non-sparkling mineral water, fruits and sandwiches (vegetarian and nonvegetarian) 

for dancers and crew during set up period, rehearsals (also in rehearsal 

studio) and performances. 

• Costumes must be washed and dried after each show. 

• The stage must be cleaned before and after each run through and performance. 

*Details and small changes on this tech rider may be discussed directly with the
