Human Welfare Foundation<br />

won the award for nationwide<br />

outstanding contributions in<br />

education<br />

Calicut (16/12/2012): Human Welfare Foundation won the award<br />

for nationwide outstanding contributions in education. Professor<br />

K.A Sidheeq Hassan (General Secretary, Human Welfare<br />

Foundation) received the award from Dr. M Abdussalam, Vice<br />

Chancellor, Calicut University. The award was organized by<br />

Chamber of Education, New Delhi and Calicut University at the<br />

university Seminar Complex.<br />

The judging committee said the award is given to Human Welfare<br />

Foundation for the work it had done for the upliftment of the<br />

backward sections across north India. By helping in establishing<br />

44 schools, organizing awards for academic excellence,<br />

educational scholarships, scholarships for civil services and slum<br />

schools, Human Welfare Foundation has helped a great role in<br />

creating educational awareness and motivation for the backward<br />

sections.<br />

Benevolent<br />

brothers living in Muscat sponsored 80 blankets for each of<br />

the three districts, that is, a total of 240 blankets. These<br />

blankets were distributed through local chapters, or active<br />

organizations in each location. A sum of Rs. 28,470/= was<br />

sent to each unit to purchase and distribute the blankets.<br />

Total Rs. 85,410/= worth of blankets were arranged for the<br />

poor destitute families to fight against a record-breaking<br />

winter season in <strong>Bihar</strong>. Below are some pics from the<br />

blanket distribution ceremony arranged by Darbhanga<br />

chapter:<br />

T.V Ibrahim (Syndicare Member, Calicult University), Professor<br />

VCK. Reveendranath, Dr. P.K. Noushad, M.V Zakariya spoke on the<br />

occasion. The award was declared on the occasion of national<br />

educational summit of Chamber of Education.<br />
