3. After You Log In
After your logon information has been verified, the logon box is replaced with the
following image. Specifically, it has links that allow you to access your account, change
your email address or password, and update your WINGS Profile.
3.1.
Your Preferences
Clicking on the “My Preferences” link displays your Account Preferences page that
consists of several tabs: General & Email, Password, Certificates & Ratings, Airman
Registry, Seminar Preferences, Other, as well as the option to Close My Account.
Your profile, as well as your preferences, can be updated through these links which
include your geographical location and the distance you are willing to travel for the
Events. On the same page you can also specify the types of notifications you would like to
receive. This information is used by the website to alert you of any upcoming events
either online, or via email. Do not forget to click on the “Save” button below to accept the
changes you made.
If you are an instructor, your account should be an “Airman” account, not a “User”
account. You can upgrade your account by clicking on the Airman Registry tab under My
Preferences and following the instructions there. If your status is “User” and you do not
upgrade to “Airman,” you will not be able to validate WINGS credits and you will not be
able to use the Quick WINGS feature.
