This issue we have a taste of<br />
things to come for both<br />
Chronopia and Ultimate Warzone.<br />
The first picture (top-center) is of<br />
an Arch Necromancer for the<br />
Devout army and if they can get<br />
the miniature to look as cool as<br />
the drawing then they have a<br />
winner on their hands. From the<br />
look of the picture the figure will<br />
be considerably bulkier than a<br />
normal spellcaster due to the<br />
bony exoskeleton that he (?) is<br />
wearing.<br />
I have no guess as to his stats,<br />
but being an ‘arch’ version of the<br />
regular necromancer should mean<br />
that he’ll be even more adept at<br />
bringing more Risen into the<br />
game. Never a bad thing for a<br />
devout player.<br />
From the looks of the picture I<br />
would expect him to come as<br />
two, maybe three pieces. One<br />
for the body, one for the head,<br />
and maybe one more for<br />
whatever pointy skeletal thingy<br />
is on his back.<br />
Second (bottom-center) is a<br />
preliminary picture of a Cat<br />
Warrior, which is apparently a<br />
new race for Chronopia. If you<br />
took a close look at the<br />
Chronopia background<br />
information from the previous<br />
issue of Fictional Reality you<br />
probably noticed several new<br />
names floating around. I’d<br />
expect some to be additions to<br />
existing armies and from the<br />
looks of it at least one new<br />
race entering the game.<br />
A feline-humanoid race sounds<br />
interesting and I think that I’d<br />
drop them closer to the neutral<br />
side of things rather than<br />
strictly good (Firstborn) or evil<br />
(Devout). Of course, depending<br />
on your view of things you might<br />
have those two armies reversed.<br />
Knowing absolutely nothing about<br />
these Cat Warriors I would expect<br />
their army to be high in the<br />
Movement and Defense<br />
categories while quite low in<br />
Armor. The crew at Excelsior will<br />
have to make sure that they are<br />
different enough from the Sons of<br />
Kronos who share those traits<br />
listed above. I’m sure they are<br />
up to the task.<br />
I bet that stealthy approaches<br />
and troops with Frenzy could<br />
show up and I think that a chariot<br />
drawn by giant saber-tooth tigers<br />
would be quite a cool site on the<br />
battlefield.<br />
On the Ultimate Warzone front<br />
we start off with even more<br />
artillery for Mishima. Last time<br />
we saw the artwork for the<br />
Typhoon Rocket Launcher and<br />
now (top-next page) a Mishima<br />
Cannon. Looks like a crew of<br />
three or four (I think there’s<br />
part of the fourth guy behind<br />
the cannon) and enough punch<br />
to put a hurting on something<br />
as large as a Bio-Giant or<br />
Praetorian Behemoth. I’d<br />
rather not get hit with it if I’m<br />
just a grunt running across nomans-land!<br />
I’d expect it to be able to fire<br />
indirectly also and a selection of<br />
ammunition would be a nice<br />
touch.<br />

on the next page with another<br />
Monk, of the West Wind this<br />
time, and a rather stealthy and<br />
deadly looking chick from the<br />
Order of the Lotus.<br />
