MESSAGE FROM TOMMY KALLON SADR MKA, UK
My dear brothers Khuddam and Atfal,
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.
May the Lord of mankind open unto you the gates of
His mercy and may He so ordain that you are always
accompanied by the supplication of His angels.
Now that the holy month of Ramadhan has
concluded and solely for the sake of Allah, we have
abstained from that which is lawful for us and
eradicated from our being those trespasses
emanating from our tongues, limbs and eyes. In
celebration we adorn our bodies with new clothes,
feast on delightful foods and engage in merriments
with our friends and loved ones. With that, we gift
our bodies with reward. Yet the greatest sacrifices
are not of the abstentions imposed upon our bodies.
Rather they are of the spiritual acquisitions that our
souls have realised. Allah says in the Holy Qur’an that
the main purpose of fasting is the cultivation of
righteousness and self-purification (Ch.2:V.186). This
is the true prize from the month of fasting.
Over the course of thirty nights you have engaged in
heartfelt prayer, rising during the obscurity of the
night and cultivated the habit of offering Tahajjud
and Fajr prayers. You have read and studied the
tremendous wisdom of the Holy Qur’an, increased
your attendance at the mosque making friends and
acquaintances of like-minded people, engaged in
good deeds and abstained from those practices that
are harmful. Over the course of the month you have
exemplified what it means to encapsulate the very
essence of Islam and Ahmadiyyat. The challenge
before us all now is to maintain those good habits
and the righteousness that we have sought to
cultivate – to make these the tools that regulate and
enhance our every action so that we find Allah’s
blessing in all that we do.
May Allah grant us all the wisdom, determination
and prudence to clutch the treasured and
captivating jewels that the hallowed month of
Ramadhan presented us with and use them on each
day forth. May He sanction our determination to
increase in righteousness and cause the fruits of our
actions to become the most visible symbol of
encouragement to all those who seek truth. Ameen.

It is widely known that faith
is a central dogma of human
history. One cannot deny the
fact that without a firm belief life is
meaningless. Unfortunately human
history depicts a rather dark and
horrifying picture where people
belonging to different religions
vanished simply due to difference in
opinion or faith. In civilized countries,
in this modern era, people belonging to
different faiths are trying their best to
promote co-existence
and harmony. This is
because the majority
have learnt from their
cold blooded past but
unfortunately there
are few who for their own vested
interests do not wish for peace and
harmony. Mosques, a place of peace
and harmony, are now a prime target
for evil minded individuals. Neither are
they practicing their religion properly
and nor can they tolerate others who
are following their faith. 86 Ahmadi
Muslims were Martyred in recent
attacks at the two
Ahmadiyya mosques in
Lahore, Pakistan. A country
which was founded in 1947 only
because people can peacefully coexist
without any dangers and risks to their
life. Ahmadis are a target because
they have accepted the Promised
Messiah (as) of the time while others
were looking towards the heavens and
still are. These Martyrs only went to
offer Friday prayers as they were
practicing Muslims and look at how
they were treated. Terrorists blindly
opened fire on the people who were
reciting Darood Shareef and prayers.
These Martyrs are not here but they
have certainly showed us a path to
follow. One Ahmadi sister, whose
father was martyred, pointed this out
as a revival of Ahmadiyyat. She said, “
Our enemy thought that Ahmadis
would not use mosques anymore. Our
Ansar Khuddam, Atfal will not go to
the mosques due to the fear. I want to
tell these enemies of Ahmadiyyat that
this blood was not shed in vain. If you
kill one Ahmadi, Allah will create 100
Ahmadis in their place. If such a time
comes when our Jama’at needs
sacrifice again then Lajna will also be
ready to offer their lives along with
men.” The grandmother of Waleed
Ahmad, a 19-year-old martyr, said “My
Waleed has given his life like his
paternal and maternal grandfathers.
My Waleed is a martyr and all martyrs
are my Waleed”. Indeed this is the
spirit and attitude of Ahmadis and
enemies cannot do anything. O’
enemies of Ahmadiyyat, you have
targeted Ahmadis because they have
accepted the Promised Messiah (as) of
the time. Jama’at-e-Ahmadiyya will not
respond the way opponents want us to,
but beware that Allah will respond.
The wrath of Allah will fall upon these
wrongdoers severely and they will
have nowhere to hide. May Allah
protect all Ahmadis and all peaceloving
people around the world
