A/C – (Alternative Classroom) For students who have been temporarily removed from their<br />
regular classroom for code of conduct violations.<br />

Report to work 30 minutes before the start of school.<br />
Always sign in at the beginning of the day and out at the end of the day in the front office.<br />

Make sure your name is written legibly and you are using the correct employee number so<br />
there are no errors in your pay.<br />

ALWAYS WEAR YOUR BADGE to assignments; not doing so may the cause the campus to<br />
send you home without pay.<br />
DO NOT USE CELL PHONES IN CLASSROOMS OR HALLWAYS. Turn them off during<br />
instructional time.<br />
Payday is the 20 th of each month. When the 20 th falls on a weekend or holiday, substitutes will be<br />
paid the work day preceding the weekend or holiday. The pay cycle is from 21 st of one month<br />
through the 20th of next month.<br />
The daily rate of pay for a teaching assignment is based on your educational background on file.<br />
48+ hours $75.00, degreed with a bachelors or higher $80.00, active teaching certificate $85.00<br />
per day. A para-professional or aide assignment is $55.00 per day, specialized Special Education<br />
paraprofessional assignments are $75.00 and half-day assignments are half of the designated<br />
daily rate.<br />
If you’re going to be late to an assignment, call the campus.<br />
If you need to cancel an assignment, call the campus.<br />
If you accept an assignment late, call the campus to tell them you are coming.<br />
No tobacco products/alcoholic beverages on campus.<br />
Do not leave campus without notifying the Campus Substitute Coordinator.<br />
Always follow the teacher’s instructions.<br />
Leave a note for the teacher – good or bad.<br />
Familiarize yourself with the department head or team leader; contact him/her with any<br />
questions/problems.<br />
DO NOT USE school computers, telephones, radios, electronic mail, internet access, VCR’s,<br />
DVD’s, etc., unless it is specified in writing by the teacher.<br />
DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN TECHNOLOGY. Do not bring your own laptop of any other device.<br />
