Thank you for your interest in substitute opportunities within the Mansfield Independent School
District. We are excited that you have chosen to become a part of our Professional Learning
Community.
Substitutes are needed on a daily basis for both our teacher and paraprofessional staff when
students are in school. The 2013-2014 school year begins August 26, 2013 and ends June 5,
2014. (June 6 th if a bad weather day becomes necessary)
Qualifications
Substitute Teacher
Minimum 48 college hours (verified by an official transcript) OR
Minimum two years experience as an instructional aide on a K-12 Mansfield ISD Campus
(verified by service record)
Substitute Nurse
Registered nurse (RN) verified by current Texas state license
Current CPR certification
Substitute Pay
Professional Assignments (Teachers/Nurses)
Daily Rate (Full day)
$75.00 Minimum 48 College Hours
$80.00 Degreed (Bachelors or higher)
$85.00 Certified (Standard Certificate)
Please note that certified pay is based on a valid standard teaching certificate.
Expired, invalid, suspended, revoked or out of the country certificates will not be accepted
for the certified pay scale.
$100.00 *Certified Long Term
*(after 10 th day in a consecutive assignment and requires HR approval)
Paraprofessional Only Assignments
Eligible to pick up only classroom aide assignments
*Substitute Teachers can also accept classroom aide assignments at the standard
paraprofessional rate of pay.
Minimum high school diploma or GED and pass the highly qualified test (administered in
the HR office)
