AKTUALNOŚCI 6 NEWS Maastricht Aachen i Glasgow wystartowały Maastricht Aachen and Glasgow took off Zgodnie z zapowiedziami, linia Wizz Air w sezonie zimowym 2014/2015 otworzyła dwa nowe połączenia z pyrzowickiego lotniska. 29 września br. zainaugurowana została trasa do Glasgow w Szkocji, obsługiwana dwa razy w tygodniu, w poniedziałki i czwartki. Drugą destynację, do holenderskiego Maastricht Aachen, operator uruchomił 28 października br. Rejsy realizowane są we wtorki i w soboty. Ponadto 31 marca 2015 r. odbędzie się pierwszy lot na kolejnym nowym kierunku, do Belfastu – stolicy Irlandii Północnej. I w tym przypadku podróż możemy planować na drugi lub szósty dzień tygodnia. AKTUALNOŚCI 7 NEWS Ruch cargo w górę Growth in cargo traffic Ruch cargo w Katowice Airport rozwija się dynamicznie. W ciągu trzech kwartałów tego roku odprawionych zostało 12,3 tys. ton frachtu, o 4,5 tys. ton więcej niż w analogicznym okresie 2013 r. Bieżący rok pyrzowickie lotnisko zakończy najlepszym w swojej historii wynikiem w tym segmencie, szacowanym na ok. 17 tys. ton towaru. Potencjał ruchu cargo w Katowice Airport będzie jeszcze większy. Na początku 2015 r., w południowo-wschodniej części lotniska, rozpocznie się budowa nowego terminalu cargo wraz z towarzyszącą mu infrastrukturą. Inwestycja zostanie oddana do użytku w pierwszej połowie 2016 r. Obecnie powstaje nowa płyta postojowa dla samolotów cargo. To przedsięwzięcie zakończy się pod koniec II kwartału 2015 r. This year, Katowice Airport will finish the year with its best results in history in this segment – around 17 thousand tonnes of freight. At the beginning of 2015, the construction, of a new cargo terminal and associated infrastructure will begin in the south-eastern part of the airport. This will increase Katowice Airport’s potential for handling cargo traffic. The project will be completed in the firt half of 2016. Currently under construction is the new cargo apron. The entire project will be completed by the end of the second quarter of 2015. Z Rybnika i Gliwic do Pyrzowic Gliwice, Rybnik to Pyrzowic Czeski przewoźnik TigerExpress, w ramach trasy Ostrawa–Katowice Airport, wprowadził dwa nowe przystanki: w Rybniku – dworzec autobusowy i w Gliwicach – plac Piastów. Codziennie realizowanych jest 7 kursów. Busy na lotnisku w Pyrzowicach zatrzymują się przy stanowisku nr 8, przed budynkiem terminalu A. Wszystkie połączenia TigerExpress objęte są obowiązkową rezerwacją miejsc, podróż bez wcześniejszego zgłoszenia nie jest możliwa. The Czech bus line, TigerExpress, has introduced two new stops: in Rybnik – the bus station (dworzec autobusowy) and Gliwice – Piast Square (Plac Piastów) on the Ostrava– Katowice Airport line. There are 7 buses daily on this route. At the airport in Pyrzowice, buses stop at bay 8 outside Terminal A. Seat reservations are compulsory on all TigerExpress routes, so travel without prior reservation is not possible.
