BOAT AND WATER SAFETY CLASSES OFFERED<br />
According to Minnesota state law, all teens 13-17 years old are required to have a permit to operate a<br />
Personal Watercraft and all persons 14-17 must have a permit to operate a boat with a motor <strong>of</strong> over 25<br />
HP.<br />
The <strong>Gull</strong> <strong>Chain</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> <strong>Association</strong> in conjunction with the Cass and Crow Wing County Water Patrol is<br />
sponsoring a class for those age groups which qualifies them for the permit. This class not only goes<br />
through all rules and regulations, but also provides all participants some “behind-the-boat steering<br />
wheel” training as well.<br />
Classes for this season will be held on Tuesday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 30. Class starts at 8:30 a.m. and<br />
a fee <strong>of</strong> $10 will be charged for lunch. All who are interested should call Marv Meyer at 218-828-9577 for<br />
details and pre-registration. Call now, the class sizes are limited.<br />
