Limestone 8-U girls state champs
The Limestone County 8-
U girls won the Alabama
Recreation and Parks Association
State Basketball
Tournament. They
defeated Monrovia in the
finals by a score of 16-
14. The championship
game capped off an undefeated
run through the
district and state tournaments
for this group of
girls. In the first game,
Limestone County defeated
Greenville, 28-19.
In the semi-finals, they
beat Meridianville, 23-
18. In the finals, against
Monrovia, the Limestone
County girls were down
13-8 in the 4th quarter,
before storming back to
win the championship.
