The “<strong>Bridgeport</strong> <strong>by</strong> <strong>Hardinge</strong>” Series I Standard Mill is<br />
the original milling, drilling and boring machine. It’s<br />
the mill that is completely manufactured, under strict<br />
quality control standards, at <strong>Hardinge</strong> <strong>Inc</strong>. in Elmira,<br />
NY. Over 350,000 machines have been built over the<br />
past 60-plus years and on-going refinement ensures<br />
that every Series I mill offers the ultimate in rigidity for<br />
a long productive life.<br />

completely hand scraped to within<br />
tenths of a thousandth, ensuring full<br />
bearing support. Single gib screw for<br />
easier adjustment.<br />
Optional chrome-plated ways<br />
and gibs ensure long life—an ideal<br />
lubricating surface and lowest possible<br />
coefficient of friction. Plated to<br />
MIL SPEC QQ-C-320 Class<br />
