14. SMOKING
Students are not allowed to smoke
• on campus
• on school trips
• within sight of the school buildings
• anywhere where they will cause annoyance to our neighbors.
15. TELEPHONES
Personal telephones must be kept switched off during classes, assemblies
and meetings. Telephones which interrupt any official school activity will
be confiscated.
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. CAMPUS HOURS
Campus hours, during which students are supervised by teachers, are
08:30 – 15:45. Students should not normally stay at school after 16.00
unless they are involved in an official supervised activity.
2. CHECK OUT
At the end of each school year every leaving student must complete a
checkout procedure. A student leaving during the school year must start
the procedure by notifying the office. If a leaving student does not check
out, no transcript will be released. Checkout forms may be obtained from
either of the senior school offices.
Students should complete their part of this checkout procedure at the time
of the final class meeting/exam. They should ensure that all school
materials have been returned and any necessary fines paid.
3. DAILY BULLETIN
The Daily Bulletin is the regular means of communication in the senior
school, and is read in class during the homeroom period. Students are
responsible for knowing what is in the bulletin, a copy of which is
displayed in the café for reference. Bulletin announcements, indicating to
what grade levels they apply should be submitted to bulletin@isdedu.de
by 14:00 of the day before publication.
4. EMERGENCY CLOSURE
If school has to be closed because of an emergency, you will be informed via
the “telephone tree.”
