coach with the <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Charleston</strong><br />
is Chris Morris.<br />
Morris, who earned a degree in exercise<br />
science from the <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Charleston</strong> in 2005, played a total <strong>of</strong><br />
six seasons in the St. Louis, Milwaukee<br />
and Los Angeles Angels organizations.<br />
He played collegiately at The Citadel<br />
(1998-00) where he earned first team<br />
All-America honors by USA Today and<br />
<strong>Baseball</strong> Weekly in 2000, after leading<br />
the nation with a Southern Conferencerecord<br />
84 stolen bases.<br />
Morris, who was named the Peoria<br />
Chiefs team MVP in 2001 after stealing a<br />
Midwest League record 111 bases, was<br />
drafted in the 15th round by the Cardinals<br />
in 2000.<br />
Morris is one <strong>of</strong> only 15 players in<br />
pro baseball history to steal at least<br />
100 bases in a season.<br />
Morris graduated in 1997 from Andrews<br />
High School where he was a<br />
two-time all-state honoree.<br />
