Eastlake is ready to hit the last round of home and<br />
away games full of running after a week off with<br />
the Bye. The Seniors trip to Sydney this weekend to<br />
play the GWS Giants is an ideal opportunity to see<br />
what the players will be up against in the first week<br />
of finals action when the 2 teams play in the semi<br />
finals next week.<br />
The Reserves and Under 18’s will also have their<br />
last hit out before finals and ensure they are well<br />
prepared for their finals campaign. It’s an exciting<br />
time coming into finals, and the players and coaches<br />
are looking forward to the challenge of playing at<br />
their best when it matters most.<br />
In what is shaping up as a huge day for Eastlake, the<br />
Club will have all 3 Grades playing in the first Semi<br />
Final on Sunday the 4th of September at Manuka<br />
Oval. All members, supporters and friends are<br />
encouraged to come along and support the teams.<br />
On the Club front, more than 200 people have shown<br />
their support for one of our most important people<br />
at the Club – Brendan Dorman. A function and<br />
fundraising initiative has received overwhelming<br />
support from the whole AFL community. It’s sure to<br />
give Brendan a boost and reinforce the standing he<br />
has at the Club and in AFL in the region.<br />
