Class 3A championship game….earned “Player of the Year” honors<br />
from the Stillwater News-Press and he also played for the Oklahoma<br />
Junior Sunbelt team.<br />
PERSONAL: Son of Brian Carter and Debra Winebrenner…majoring in<br />
architectural engineering.<br />

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played at Marshalltown Community College, where<br />
he batted .321 with a home run and 21 runs batted in during the<br />
2010 season…was his team’s fifth-leading hitter during the season…<br />
also stole six bases.<br />
PERSONAL: Son of Bob and Debbie Caffrey…majoring in architectural<br />
engineering.<br />

2010: Earned third-team All-GLVC honors at third base after finishing<br />
as one of the Miners’ top offensive performers…batted .369 with six<br />
home runs and a season-high 41 runs batted in…tied for the team<br />
lead with 22 multiple-hit games, which included four-hit games<br />
against Southern Arkansas, Fort Hays State and Southern Indiana…<br />
broke the previous school record with 72 hits on the season (teammate<br />
Will Morrison finished with 75)…had a season-high five runs<br />
batted in a win at Truman State that completed a doubleheader<br />
sweep over the Bulldogs…had 13 multiple-RBI outings…finished<br />
among the team leaders in slugging percentage at .590 and on-base<br />
percentage at .411…tied for the team lead with 40 runs scored and<br />
stole 15 bases in 19 attempts.<br />
2009: Finished the season with a .256 batting average, two home runs<br />
and 13 runs batted in…played in 34 games after missing the early<br />
stages of the season with an injury…had a three-hit game at Central<br />
Oklahoma and drove in three in a win over <strong>Missouri</strong>-St. Louis…finished<br />
the year with hits in seven of his last 14 at-bats, which included<br />
a season-high five-game hitting streak.<br />
2008: Batted .338 with two home runs and 24 runs batted in during<br />
his first season as a Miner…had 13 multiple-hit games during the<br />
season, including four three-hit outings…had three hits in games<br />
against Indianapolis, Drury, Quincy and SIU Edwardsville…had six<br />
games with at least two runs batted in, including a four-RBI showing<br />
against William Woods…hit home runs against Northern Kentucky<br />
and SIUE…started games at three of the four infield positions, making<br />
most of the starts at first base in the latter half of the season.<br />
HIGH SCHOOL: Was an all-state and all-conference performer at the<br />
high school level at Perkins-Tryon High School…was one of five<br />
recipients of the Ferguson Jenkins Award which is presented to<br />
players for their performance on the athletic and academic levels….<br />
hit .513 in his senior year with 10 home runs and 35 extra base hits…<br />
batted .504 as a junior with 32 extra base hits, including 21 doubles<br />
and eight triples and 64 runs batted in…was also a pitcher with a<br />
6-0 record with a 1.87 earned run average…averaged nearly one<br />

2010: Finished with a .239 batting average, three home runs and 18<br />
runs batted in…also had a .373 slugging percentage and .323 onbase<br />
percentage while scoring 28 times…had six multiple-hit games<br />
during the year, including a three-hit performance against Lewis…<br />
hit two of his three home runs in that contest and drove in a seasonhigh<br />
four runs…also knocked in four runs in a late season win over<br />
<strong>Missouri</strong>-St. Louis, a game in which he hit his third homer.<br />
2009: Primary starter at catcher during the season…started in 40<br />
games behind the plate…batted .276 with three home runs and 22<br />
runs batted in…also had 10 doubles and a triple during the year…<br />
hit two of his three home runs in during both ends of a doubleheader<br />
against Augustana…other homer came against Washburn…drove in<br />
three runs against Henderson State and Augustana…had a walk-off<br />
RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat Drury on April 4...<br />
recorded a .387 on-base percentage and .441 slugging percentage.<br />
2008: Started in 22 of the 28 games he appeared in…made his starts<br />
either at catcher or designated hitter…hit .243 with eight runs batted<br />
in…had five multiple-hit games during the season…had a three-RBI<br />
outing against Indianapolis…recorded a .329 on-base percentage.<br />
HIGH SCHOOL: Was selected as the most valuable player on a summer<br />
league team, the McHenry Shamrocks, after earning the team’s<br />
top hitter award…has also played with the McHenry County<br />
Hurricanes and was selected to participate in the Stevenson Showcase.<br />
PERSONAL: Son of Jerry and Michele Davenport…majoring in information<br />
systems and technology.<br />
