Our vision: Every young person has a mentor<br />
<strong>Big</strong> <strong>Brothers</strong> <strong>Big</strong> <strong>Sisters</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Calgary</strong> <strong>and</strong> Area, is a donor supported, volunteer-driven organization recognized<br />
for our mentoring programs for children <strong>and</strong> youth in schools <strong>and</strong> communities throughout <strong>Calgary</strong>, Airdrie,<br />
Rocky View County, Cochrane, High River, <strong>and</strong> surrounding areas. We match young people 6 to 18 years <strong>of</strong><br />
age, with caring volunteer mentors.<br />
To ensure the safety <strong>of</strong> our children <strong>and</strong> youth, our volunteers are thoroughly screened <strong>and</strong> trained. We also<br />
provide ongoing pr<strong>of</strong>essional support to foster the success <strong>of</strong> the mentoring relationships.<br />
Mentorship positively impacts the lives <strong>of</strong> children <strong>and</strong> youth by improving their self-esteem, relationships with<br />
others, educational aspirations <strong>and</strong> hope for the future.<br />
