The staff and board of BBBS have immense gratitude this year. We have emerged from a difficult economic shift
stronger and more determined than ever to realize our vision that every child has a mentor. We are so positive
about our future that our revised strategic plan sets a new goal of supporting 5,000 young people by 2015. We
know that this goal is achievable with the commitment of the greater group that supports BBBS because you
have demonstrated, in one of the most difficult years for Canadian charities, that our BBBS village will continue
to raise its children. You make it possible for our professional staff to recruit, screen, and match volunteers with
a young person and then to provide ongoing support in their role as the direct agent of change
in a child’s life.
We are committed to changing the lives of our young people through mentoring. Thank you all for joining us in
this movement and for making a difference to so many.
