DO MORE
TO HAVE MORE
A phone call I received one day in September made me start thinking
about job security, pension plans and the cost of my children’s education.
These were things I had not really been thinking about. It is
funny how sometimes we float through life not really thinking about
our future. My husband, EDM Darren Galiz, had been working as a
development miner for 10 years. Mining jobs do not last forever and
we knew that. One had just closed down two years earlier and Darren
was fortunate to find another job, but this mine only had a life span
of five to six more years. We discovered that job security is not something
we could rely on.
As I heard more about Arbonne, I really started thinking more deeply.
The possibility of time and financial freedom sounded so wonderful. It
was time to try something different in order to have something different.
Could I really do it? I have three young children at home and I
live in Snow Lake, Manitoba, in Canada. Snow Lake has a population
of about 700 people and we are two hours from any city. As
doubts ran through my mind, I chose not to listen to my fears. I had
nothing to lose and four great reasons staring me right in the face; I
could do this for them. The Arbonne business might force me to go
outside my comfort zone, but I could not let this opportunity pass me by.
I jumped in with both feet and hit the ground running, and I completed
qualification for Area Manager in five weeks. Then in January of
this year, my team really started following a simple system, put in
place for us by others who paved the way, and we had a lot of success.
In April and May, we set goals and worked to accomplish them.
We worked on achieving our goals and by the end of those months,
to my amazement, I had reached mine. I have learned when you start
your business, it is about you; once you have a team, it is about them.
There are so many things I love about this business. The products are
Wayne and Pearl Galiz, Rylee and Darren with their children and Rylee’s parents,
amazing, the teamwork is awesome and the network of support is
truly unbelievable. If you are coachable and have a strong Why, you
can do amazing things with this company.
I love to share this amazing opportunity with people. Since starting my
Arbonne business, I have learned a lot about myself and others. Fear
is an amazing thing. I am so happy I chose to listen to my heart. I was
the first DM, AM and RVP in Manitoba. There is work to be done;
however, helping others accomplish their goals is a reward in itself.
To my loving husband: I am so happy we can do this together and
work to have what most only dream of. You know me and when I say
I am doing something, I never quit. I cannot wait to take more of the
vacations we enjoy so much, show our children the world and live the
life we have always dreamed of. Your support is unwavering. You are
the best. I love you so much!
To my amazing children, Evan, Ryanne and Allie: I love you so much!
I hope you always overcome your fears, dream big and accomplish
all you set out to do. You are my driving force. I love your hugs and
kisses, and you make every day better with your little smiles. Time
goes by so quickly, and I am so fortunate I am able to be with you as
you grow and cherish every moment.
To my parents and in-laws: Thank you so much for your continuing
love and support. You have helped us so much and we are forever
grateful. I appreciate everything you have done, and dad, thanks for
teaching me the value of hard work; you set a great example.
To my Region: For once, I am speechless. I cannot say enough about
you. You are unstoppable. I am so privileged to have you doing this
business with me. I enjoy working with you all and watching you succeed.
I cannot wait to hand each of you a set of car keys. It is only
going to get better. Keep setting your goals and we will attain
them together.
To ERVP Dara Macklin: Thank you for all your support. You are so far
away, but so helpful to everyone on my team. We really appreciate
it. I have learned so much about this business from you. Thank you!
To ENVP Jill Witchey: For someone I have never met before, you are
a very caring soul. Your support is greatly appreciated by all, your
excitement carries over to everyone, and it has been such a pleasure
working with you.
To AM team, Chad and Erin Cords: What can I say? Since you stared
doing this business with me, things have taken off like wildfire. You
took the leap with me and I am so fortunate to work with you. You keep
me on my toes and your support is always appreciated. Thank you!
To AM Victoria Durussel: You are the definition of busy and you are
so successful with this business. You truly amaze me! You are a great
leader and you know how to juggle a schedule.
To DM Chris Manweiller, Stacey Storozuk and Nancy Libbey: You
are go-getters. Next step is Area Manager and I know you will be
there soon!
To EAM Garnet Coulson: How much nicer is it to have the opportunity
to be on permanent vacation with family? I cannot wait!
To EAM Lil Haines and AM Michelle Hanks: Well, we finally found
our way with this business. Thanks for sticking with me and keeping
your eye on the target.
To Lesley Ackerman and Jennifer Paterson-Young: Thank you so much
for sharing this opportunity with me. I am so thankful you did.
To those of you reading my Eye on Arbonne success story: If you have
heard about the opportunity, start thinking about your future. What
are you doing to secure yourself? Fear is an amazing thing; I know I
would rather try something different to have more, than regret never
trying at all.
