Support activities that increase the ability of the elderly to remain in<br />

their homes or to locate other housing to rent or purchase.<br />

Ensure housing that is provided to migrant farm workers is decent, safe,<br />

<strong>and</strong> affordable.<br />

Support the use of available federal, state, <strong>and</strong> local resources to<br />

provide <strong>and</strong> enhance housing opportunities for farm workers.<br />

Support programs that address long‐term solutions to homelessness,<br />

including work skills assessment, job training/placement, permanent<br />

housing <strong>and</strong> supportive services.<br />

Promote the construction of affordable housing that meets the needs of<br />

female heads of households.<br />

Support the development of housing to meet the needs of large<br />

households.<br />

Sub‐Strategy HE 4.2: Increase the Supply of Affordable Rental <strong>Housing</strong> for<br />

Extremely Low‐Income Households<br />

Objective: To achieve no net loss of existing rental housing affordable to extremely<br />

low‐income households <strong>and</strong> to increase the number of affordable rental housing<br />

units.<br />

Facilitate the development of new Extremely Low‐Income (ELI) rental<br />

units.<br />

Maintain <strong>and</strong> preserve existing stock of ELI units.<br />

<strong>and</strong> project based housing vouchers, including <strong>Housing</strong> Choice Vouchers<br />

(HCV) <strong>and</strong> <strong>Housing</strong> Assistance Payment (HAP) vouchers.<br />

Sub‐Strategy HE‐4.3: Enforcement of Anti‐Discrimination Programs<br />

Objective: Ensure equal housing opportunities for all residents of Sacramento<br />

County.<br />

HE 4.3.1<br />

The County shall continue to provide funding for equal housing<br />

opportunity programs such as those operated by the Human Rights <strong>and</strong><br />

Fair <strong>Housing</strong> Commission <strong>and</strong>/or other fair housing enforcement<br />

organizations to support their mission <strong>and</strong> programs.<br />
