Mission Statement

and enhance the image of our business
community, enabling businesses to grow
and prosper by serving as a unified voice
and providing service to its membership.

This month we will all see, as chamber members,
the distribution of our 2011-2012 Lincoln City
Chamber of Commerce Member Directory. Our Executive
Director, Linda Roy and many of our chamber
members have worked very hard making sure
they have published what is one of our most valuable
assets we can utilize as chamber members. After living
with my directory in place of the local phone
book for the past several years, I have felt the need
to pass on how the majority of our membership gains
tremendous value from our directory.
I operate a business, just as many of you do, that
requires local services on a regular basis, including
plumbers, electricians, printers, contractors, banks,
and every other service that you could imagine a
large restaurant would need (and there are so many).
The services that are required for this single business
total into the thousands, if not tens of thousands,
of dollars every year. In the past, with just
the phone book, our products and services were not
always local, and I wasn’t always sure whether they
were Chamber members or not.
After making sure that my Chamber Directory
was my first resource for products and vendors, I’ve
not only found that I am able to support the local
economy more, I am also able to work with chamber
members first, and network with those who might be
more inclined to patronize my business as well. Using
our Chamber Directory keeps money in Lincoln
City, helps build local relationships, and definitely
adds to the strength and value of OUR Lincoln City
Chamber of Commerce.
So as you all receive your Lincoln City Chamber
of Commerce Business Directory 2011-2012,
move over that local phone book, plant your Directory
squarely on your desk, and support your fellow
chamber members. From personal experience I can
promise that you will be happy you did.

Behemoth, LLC, represented by John Forse, was
formed in 2005 for the purpose of organizing and
running the ‘Nelscott Reef Big Wave Classic,’ which
is a surfing contest that is one of many on the ‘Big
Wave World Tour’ with stops in Chile, Peru, Mexico
and Oregon. The Classic is the longest continuously
running big wave contest in the world and last year
featured the biggest waves ever surfed in competition.

in Small Business Development, marketing and
Transitional Counseling is one of the newest members
of the Lincoln City Chamber or Commerce.
