On motion presented by Councilor Francisco Z. Lichauco, duly seconded, all present
members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, except Councilor Oscar M. Ibay, who
abstained, approved the following City Resolution on second and final reading:
CITY RESOLUTION NO. 2004-047

A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE CONTRACT ENTERED INTO
BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF MAKATI,
REPRESENTED BY HONORABLE MAYOR JEJOMAR C. BINAY
AND RAR BUILDERS, INC., REPRESENTED BY ITS
PRESIDENT, MR. EFREN C. RAMOS, FOR THE PROPOSED
ROAD IMPROVEMENT OF FACUNDO STREET, BARANGAY PIO
DEL PILAR, MAKATI CITY, METRO MANILA, IN THE AMOUNT
OF P4,501,250.00, FUNDS TAKEN FROM THE SUPPLEMENTAL
BUDGET NO. 1 CY 2003, SUBJECT TO ALL LAWS AND
EXISTING LEGAL RULES AND REGULATIONS.

WHEREAS, under authority of City Ordinance No. 2003-058 as amended by
City Ordinance No. 2003-058(A), the Honorable Mayor Jejomar C. Binay
negotiated, entered into and signed a contract with the winning bidder (RAR
Builders, Inc.) for the proposed road improvement of Facundo Street, Barangay
Pio Del Pilar, Makati City, Metro Manila ;
WHEREAS, the contract has been reviewed and certified to be legal, both as to
form and stipulations therein;
WHEREAS, in compliance with the condition imposed under City Ordinance No.
2003-058 as amended by City Ordinance No. 2003-058(A), the contract is
hereby submitted to the Sanggunian for ratification.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE
SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF MAKATI, BY VIRTUE OF THE POWERS
VESTED IN IT BY LAW, IN SESSION ASSEMBLED to ratify the contract entered
into by and between the City Government of Makati, represented by Honorable
Mayor Jejomar C. Binay and RAR Builders, Inc., represented by its President,
Mr. Efren C. Ramos, for the proposed road improvement of Facundo Street,
Barangay Pio Del Pilar, Makati City, Metro Manila, in the amount of
P4,501,250.00, funds taken from the Supplemental Budget No. 1 CY 2003,
subject to all laws and existing legal rules and regulations.
Let copy of this Resolution be furnished the City Engineering Department, the
City Treasurer’s Office, the City Budget Office and other concerned offices for
their information, guidance and reference.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
