Magnetic resonance imaging of laboratory animals is well established<br />
in biological and pharmacological research and has become the<br />
accepted gold standard for many investigations. The range of<br />
applications has expanded dramatically over the past few years -<br />
especially through the introduction of dedicated <strong>RF</strong>-coils.<br />
Volume resonators, available in a wide range of diameters, ensure<br />
optimal signal-to-noise and <strong>RF</strong> homogeneity across dedicated<br />
applications. Active <strong>RF</strong> decoupling allows the flexible combination of<br />
up to 4 independent transmit and receive coils. Multi-channel array<br />
coils enable parallel imaging applications. Integrated preamplifiers<br />
guarantee optimal sensitivity over a large dynamic range.<br />
Abdominal Morphology<br />
Easy-to-use positioning, pneumatic fixation and color-coded plugs<br />
ensure reliable coil handling in seconds. The automatic recognition of<br />
<strong>Bruker</strong> coils guarantees safe operation within the power limits of each<br />
individual coil. This means that non-expert personnel can produce fast<br />
