INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT<br />
On January 2, 2002, an Interlocal Agreement between<br />
Clark County <strong>and</strong> the city <strong>of</strong> <strong>Las</strong> <strong>Vegas</strong> was approved to establish<br />
joint policies on corporate boundaries, annexations, l<strong>and</strong><br />
use planning (including zoning <strong>and</strong> development review),<br />
transportation planning, parks <strong>and</strong> trails planning, <strong>and</strong> urban<br />
services (including sewer, water <strong>and</strong> flood control facilities<br />
planning). This agreement resulted in a joint planning effort<br />
that created a seamless l<strong>and</strong> use plan illustrating the anticipated<br />
development patterns for the city <strong>of</strong> <strong>Las</strong> <strong>Vegas</strong> <strong>and</strong> Clark<br />
County in the Centennial Hills/Lone Mountain Planning Areas.<br />
On December 3, 2008, a restated interlocal agreement 16 was<br />
approved to further clarify the rights, roles <strong>and</strong> obligations <strong>of</strong><br />
the city <strong>and</strong> the county. The restated agreement expires five<br />
years after the Effective Date unless one <strong>of</strong> the parties wishes<br />
to cancel.<br />
